I have been considering purchasing some of the Bait Gloves from Rod Glove, but some of my research says these items have issues with the red bleeding into soft plastics. I was curious if anyone has experience positive or negative with this product. Thanks for any information, Steve

Need some recommendations for a excellent boot.
DropShot'r replied to Skud's topic in General Discussion
In my opinion you should be looking for two pair of boots, not one. As a person that has sat in deer stands, been on lots of deer drives, grouse and woodcock hunts you are asking for something that really doesn't exist. Get a good pair of normally insulated (200-300 grams of Thinsulate) waterproof breathable leather boots from Cabelas for all your humping in the bush. Get a good pair of max insulated pac boots for the deer stand. I have a pair of Sorel Alaska pac boots. When you get to the deer stand change your socks. I always wore a pair of thin wool socks into the stand then took them off an put on a pair of heavy wool socks. -
Third grade in Millersburg, PA. The teachers were all crying. We were sent home. Mom walked to the school to get me. She was quite upset and crying. Mom held my hand(maybe a bit too tightly) all the way home and talked about what had happened. Mom and dad talked about the day at supper, our normal happy evening meal was quite somber. That evening mom and I walked to the theater to watch PT109.

Thanks for all the feedback. I love my Abu Garcia baitcasters, but I have also been a Shimano spinning reel guy. Was trying to decide if I wanted to go Abu all the way. I'm still not convinced Abu spinning is the way to go. I suspect I will have a Gen2 Ci4 on the Dobyns DX for next year. No problem my friend, there will be next year.

Check out William Dam seeds. They do not sell GMO garbage seeds: http://www.damseeds.ca/productcart/pc/home.asp

Do not believe this crap!!! If GMO's are so stinking good how come Monsanto has spent millions of dollars to defeat GMO labeling? People do you own research into GMO.

Hello to everyone. I plan on getting a new dropshot rod and reel for next year. The rod I have chosen is a Dobyns Extreme 742, the reel I have not decided on yet. I was curious if any of the board members have had any experience with Abu Garcia Revo spinning reels, especially the Premier. Any feed back positive or negative will be appreciated. Thanks, Steve

I do not like David Suzuki for some of the reasons you mention. He is a broken watch, but even broken watches are right twice a day. This is real and it is stinking scary.

X2 Best advice yet!!!! -
I have been using Marine Grade Stabil the last two years and love it. I feel it is far better than the regular(red) stabil. I buy a fresh jug for the boat every year, Fresh Stabil is cheap insurance lads.... Steve

I'm guessing you want these fish for consumption. With all do respect here sir, I'd rather eat fried river bottom mud than a fall run salmon. Steve

I also use Gamakatsu Wide Gap Finesse hooks.

I suspect that you tied the braid directly to your spool. Braid tied directly to a spool will spin. You should either take the line off the spool to the knot carefully( a big yard is the best) and add a piece of electrical tape over the knot then crank everything back up. This will prevent line from spinning. Or add some mono to your braid to fill the spool up properly, then remove all the line from the spool and attach the mono to your spool first then reel back up. I do the latter. With 150yd. spool of braid as the norm I have my reels set up with enough backing that 75yds of braid fills the spools properly. this way I can fill two reels with one spool of braid. My new baitcasters have holes in the spool to attach the line and this eliminates line spin. Good luck, Steve

IMHO it does sound like those bass were well dead before the tourney. I'm not a tourney angler, just a guy who likes to fish whenever I can. Tournaments drive our industry, without them what little tackle industry there would be would still be in the stone ages. We'd all be using Mitchell 300 reels, mono line and yellow fiberglass Eagle Claw rods with carbide guides. If you don't like tourneys go somewhere else to fish the weekend of an event. I know where they are each weekend and make plans accordingly. Some of you crusty old dude's need to grow up and learn to accept that it's not always about you. Steve

I agree here. I had a friend that used cable on his winch and it was such a pain. Get the strap.

Does anyone have a remedy for musky farts in a dog? I boil and grind up all the musky I catch and feed it to my dogs, they love it but boy to those farts stink. Any help for this problem will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Steve -
Give the tackle shop that you got the rod at a phone call and see what they will do for you. Check rod manufacturers web site for info about broken rods. Steve
