  1. Gezz, their almost making it a little out of reach anymore for a family with a few kids.
  2. Thanks Lloyd, Much appreciated. Everything helps us old boys. I think I'm going to stay more in the bay than in the Reach. OH and you and the Mrs. have a good and safe trip to Cuba.
  3. I've seen guys keep them to eat. Minnows : Bills Bait or Fishing World carries minnows. I'd call first just to make sure.
  4. Hooked, I'll be there helping out with the registrations. Should be a fun morning. Grab yourself some minnows, take a lawn chair and a pail, sit back and relax. Great day for the kids. I think they charge $9.00 to get in the park. They told us the snack bar will be open. Tip: most guys fish with a slip float, the bottom of the marina is weedy . Good Luck see you there. If you need more info, just ask
  5. Gezz, you guys are all heart Just save me one , but if I have to take the back seat, I'll take a lamb
  6. Nice Buck, congrats. Must have had the old heart beating waiting for the shot. Looks like a big body buck. What do you figure he dressed at? Hope to see one like that in the shotgun, WMU 90A next week.
  7. Thanks guys. Chris I have a better fight cranking my boat on the trailer. A 12" Perch gives a better fight. Funny you say that, you can tell when you get a Sheephead on, it fights. the only movement that Walleye gave was on the floor of the boat, the tail moved a bit. The best way to catch them down there is drifting, at least you get to feel the hit and they do fight better. My stepson got a 10 lb. plus drifting the triangle on a Victor spinner and worm. He said it almost ripped the rod out of his hand. I know thats why you wouldn't waste your time down there. I go mostly because it's being with friends and having a good time.
  8. Hay bro, I see these guys never read the downhome dictionary. Deez felers nver wood uner stan us homers wood day. im goin fishin sea ya lader biys.
  9. Looks like I'm going to miss you guys again this year. I'll be there 20,21,22,23. staying at Harbor Inn small apartment#401. We used to get the penthouse#601 but it's rented out now If you want a good breakfast, harbor inn restaurant is the place. Save me some fish guys, don't catch them all. I just need one big one. Not a sheephead

  11. Thanks Roy, my wife has to differ, can't repeat was she calls me Your right about the fishing because I talked to a few guys and they said on Sat. they slaughtered them, and Sunday they shut down. Like my signature says
  12. Congrats on the new fishin partner, Chris may have a life jacket for him. Brooks was getting to small
  13. Thanks everyone. After that picture was taken my camera was toast, water got into it with so much rain. All are fish were released. 1 other Walleye was caught in my boat plus the 2 Sheephead. The 3 other guys caught there 2 in the triangle. My stepson, which stayed at another place with his buds caught 2 drifting a spinner and worm in a small bay east of Thompson's Pt. 5 & 10 lb'der.
  14. 6 Guys, 4 Walleye,2 Sheep-head 3 days, Mon.Tues.Weds. Rain,Rain,Rain,WindWindWind I caught 1 32" Walleye down the Reach near the lighthouse, 55FOW with TD11 purple Taildancer 150 back from the in-line board. Talked to a couple charter guys and they said we were lucky, they hadn't moved a rod. Going back for 4 days in Nov.

  18. Was at a seminar the other night with Italo being the speaker and he talked about this app for you hitec phone guys which I don't have. It was very impressive. Makes me want to up grade click below http://www.ufindfish.com/share/
  19. Vin I thought I saw Dan at EC10 yesterday , looked like his boat.
  20. I did get quite a few years back, but haven't done as good for a few years now. Some of the fish in the lower river could be lake fish, but I think most are resident fish, but I could be wrong. I know guys that do well above the Dunnville dam as you say, that's were we fish the derby and we do well plus we have hit some good size Pike. As for eating I don't keep any, but allot of guys do. The derby is live release. It's nice fishing up there because we drift with the river currant and use the elect to keep yourself out from shore. Just sit back relax and drift, nice and quite. I've talked a few of my buds into the derby and they love it. I never was a Grand River person, but a buddy of mine got me hooked.
  21. Thanks Lew Yes, I had my eye's opened this year when I saw what happened to my Buddy's Honda 50HP lower seal. I'm going to make a post on here with a picture of his seal one day. The dealer couldn't believe his eyes when he pulled his bottom end with no oil left. There was so much line in there that it went right through the seal and into the gear casing to the gears. He was lucky he shut the motor off when he herd a funny noise. Got away with just a seal job.
  22. You want to fish Walleye, don't count the Grand out. There's a good Walleye derby coming up in the Grand Oct 14,15,16, Caledonia Walleye Derby. We fish the river below Cayuga, in the boat, drift fishing. I fish it every year. I not telling you my hot-spots , just look for the red Princecraft, Stay away, he doesn't catch fish. Plus it's close to home.
  23. I have a 50 Honda tiller and it's great on fuel. Like mentioned above, you have to let it warm up a bit more than a 2 stroke, not a problem. I bought mine the year before they brought out the longer handle with the shifter. I was a pain in the arm because trolling all day with your arm back. So I made a homemade extension that works great. If I had to do it over again, I think I'd look at the 50HP Merc 4 stroke, it's allot quieter than my Honda. I have 2 buds that have them and I can't believe the difference. I change my oil regular, every 2nd change I change the filter. It says change the oil every 50 hours, I talked the the dealer and said I'd be changing every week and he said I know Dave, but you aren't normal . Normal people may only put 50 hours a year. He said change it a couple times a year and your good. I use 20W30 Quaker state nothing special. But I tell you, it's a messy job, make sure you put down some card board on your driveway under your oil catcher. Plus pull your prop a few times a year to check for line.
  24. It's free and made for android. From what he showed us, it has great detail, that's what I'd want. You don't have to post any spots, just use for finding lake structure.
