  1. I was told by a Prop repair guy, if you want a new prop go with Solas.
  2. None. There just Info-mercials. Sooner go fishing myself or read threads on OFC and other sites, than watch the tube.
  3. Thank You Pikeslayer8, I like wise.
  4. Wish I could have taken the picture the day it was windy, didn't have my camera, it wasn't upside down.
  5. This picture was taken on Sister Island on Big Gull Lake, Ontario Canada. Can you see anything wrong? I Did. How many years will it be OK and Official? My Quote, (The End Is Coming)
  6. As I've posted before, THE END IS COMING QUICKER THAN I THOUGHT. Cliff, you are dead on. Watch the thread I'm going to post, tell me what you think.
  7. Jumps over .50 a gallon over night. Gas should be that much per litre. Be a lot staying home. Time to buy a fishing game.
  8. Give me week days off any time. Lakes quieter. Retired now, I fish week days.
  9. Sorry for your loss Albert. I guess maybe that's why I don't have a dog. I have a friend that has a dog that is human, if anything would happen to that dog, I'd have to admit, it would bother me Name of that dog is Brook.
  10. Once you start painting cement Lew, you'll be touching it up year after year. My son tried that stuff from Home Hardware, and so far so good. I think it's a epoxy base.
  11. I'll take the hint. They just don't want outsiders to fish THEIR lake. Good topic to bring up at the next FMZ meeting. Outsiders have to pay double to fish Lake Ontario.
  12. I think a few MINNOW Scales would add a little finishing touch. :-)
  13. Might be worth giving the Burlington pier a try, They should be coming in. Been hit and miss there. Not like the good old days.
  14. Smiths Bay ice did it 12" of ice. I talk to one of the organizers and he said about the same as last year. Your right Brian, should have had my boots on. Monday wasn't to bad. If I thought about that Wayne I think I'd quit fishin It would scare me.
  15. We managed to find them but it took some work and a little metal. We started the morning off trying to break trail on Smiths bay and got about half way to Orchard Pt. Ended up in 1' of ice and could go any farther so we had to admit defeat. We backed out of Smiths and launched at the narrows. We tried the Simcoe side and nada fish, so we went to Cooch and we found them after we broke trail in a few spots. First 5 mins. nothing then the perch found us. None stop action 1,2,3 at a time. We ended with 135 nice keepers. we must have released at least twice that many small ones. Tuesday we only fish for about 3 hours, rain and cold did us in, so we packed up and headed home. We'll be back Fri.,Sat.,Sun.
  16. Thanks for your report Bro. Looks like the first picture launch is doable. We'll be there Monday for 2 days and back Fri,Sat.,Sun. Those dam birds ate my tag. Gezz that doesn't look good. Nobody fishing the first day, that has to be the first. I can remember when you could walk across the boats out there. I hope things pick up for all the hard work the organizers do.
  17. If I could only talk the wife into moving to Bancroft
  18. Happy Birthday bye Johnny Cake and Molasses would be my choice for cake.
  19. I think me and a few buds may giver on Monday & Tuesday at the public launch. May have to brake trial ;D We've done that many times before and fish in the cracks
  20. I paid $1.16 L yesterday on the rez
  21. I wish $78. Try $160.00 for my F150 I head to the Rez to fill every chance I get.
  22. jammer, my point x2 As I say, I hope I'm wrong for all of us.
  23. Just do the math.. When we start spending, costing, more money than we make, something has to give or brake. Just a couple examples: Gas jumping up 30 cents a gallon over night when years ago gas being 30 cents a gallon would jump 1/2 a cent. To carry a house, kids going to school, upkeep, car, food, etc. You and Wife both working and still can't keep up then our government tells you to save for a pension. Some may be able to, but most can't any more. Our government then turns around and says they want more out of your pocket when the company that you working for wants concessions. We are running a race to the edge of the cliff. Technology is moving to fast, things are out of date before you buy. I sit sometimes out fishing thinking about what is happening and it's scary. I have 11 grandkids, I think will they ever afford to retire. I'm on my way out, maybe that's a good thing for me. I don't think this generation can cope a depression. But Entropy, that's just my opinion. I hope I'm wrong.
  24. Golden Horseshoe Outdoors Club runs the Perch Derby there in the fall. Guys were fishing Browns the other day in the marina but should close soon when the boats start going in then the only spot you can fish is the rocks at the outlet and the end of the dock on the west side of the boat launch. Go to the Hamilton Conservation site for 50 Pt. Phone # 905-525-2187 or 905-643-2103 and give them a call for the socking info. Web Cam http://www.fpyc.ca/webcam/default.php
