Billy Bob replied to Billy Bob's topic in General Discussion
Your remarks have made my day my Canadian friends....... BTW....I drink Labatt's Blue Lite....... -
Be very very quiet, here come the..........SABRES ! ! ! Lately the SABRES have gone Canadian hunting and I am not talking about geese......
-
I'm all for fun but I guess these guys had a little too much American Beer and got out of control... http://www.buffalonews.com/258/story/883920.html

Actually it does work as a lubricant very well.....I have a Browning Sweet Sixteen (Belgium made) I purchase new in 1974 and WD-40 is the ONLY lubricant I have ever used on it.....the Browning Auto-5 is a recoil semi-automatic shotgun and depends on the properly cleaning and lubricating the magazine tube in order to eject and reload every round properly.....I leave the setting on the tube for HIGH BRASS (heavy loads) yet I can shoot very light trap loads with it without a problem...WD-40 is petroleum based but is very thin which makes it actually the BEST choice for anyone that hunts in extreme cold conditions because it will not thicken up like some other gun oils that have disappointed the hunter when he pulled the trigger and the firing pin did not strike the prime because the oil used thicken up enough to prevent the firing pin from moving......this has never happened to me because of my exclusive use of WD-40 I have a WELL lubricated rag that I saved from soooo many times of spraying it with WD-40 that is stored in the gun safe...this rag is my wipe down rag I use before putting any gun away in the safe....my safe is in the basement I don't use a de-humidifier or a golden rod in the safe.....just wipe them down and store....believe me this has been very effective for me for almost 40 years now.
-
WD-40 has severed me VERY well for over 30 years.......it has protected my firearms (19 total) for many years....every gun is wiped down with WD-40 before being put in the gun safe.....never a finger print is left on any firearm and this has been effected on every gun..........but anyways.......I use a VERY EXPENSIVE item to contain the little red tube because it's very important to my well being.......it's called a rubber band around the can.......this very expensive item holds the little red tube for many years to come.... Good Luck finding the correct size rubber band. Bob

If this was true then they all would close in Canada........but I have a feeling Walmart will be open longer then both of them....

I Think I got Screwed.... What do you Think??
Billy Bob replied to Leecher's topic in General Discussion
I never had a Shimano rod.......a few older Fenwicks and now if I need one I get a Cabela's name brand (could be Shimano, don't know) but with your last statement I will never knowingly purchase one if you had to have a DOZEN replaced by them.....SOMETHING WRONG there. -
I haven't kept a bass of any kind in over 30 years so I can't see the harm in it. Of all the game fish in my state and in Ontario I would say smallmouth are the most abundant by FAR....so why do you want to 'rest' the smallmouth and not walleye or trout or pike or muskie, etc........
-
I would have to say that is a safe assumption since the store is closed down.....

Go back to the store and purchase the MH you wanted....wait a couple of days and take back the M that you didn't really want....after all isn't that what they did. -

I guess this is not a good subject by your response but I would really like to know........ Shopping today or any other day is always best on the INTERNET ....
-
Now what if they were native Indians would they face the same fines or are they exempt on or off their land ?
-
I much prefer THINSULATE and GOR-TEX with bibs and a 4 way parka.

Anyone need a $30 code off a $150 Cabela's purchase.....PM me if you can use it by Nov 17th.... Happy Turkey Day, Bob

I want to be a fishing guide(charters)
Billy Bob replied to bigredfisher's topic in General Discussion
Your best bet to be a full time guide around here would be on the lower Niagara River and you can get into to it with a lot less investment money than chartering on the Great Lakes. I know of a couple that do pretty well working that river but then again their wifes has good paying jobs. -
Our state laws can be more strict but not more lenient then federal laws. So you MUST comply with the new reg on wearing life jackets from Nov to May.
-
What's with the funny orange hats everyone's wearing...
-
Unfortunately we do....but so far it's been real nice here......50-60's..... Last year after all that rain it snowed that night and we woke up to about 5" of the white stuff.
-
I hope it has Gor-Tex and at least 200 grams of Thinsulate...... Gor-Tex saved all our butts last year as it RAINED all day on opening day...... I don't buy anything without Gor-Tex and Thinsulate.......you need to check Cabela's Bargain Cave for super deals.... I have a cot set up in that cave.......

I don't know if it's available in the Great White North but if you want the best, it's TIVO.....I can record two different programs while watching something that has already been recorded........I can watch two different programs at the same time......say I am watching a football game X on channel 1 and it's a commercial break...I pause that channel and go to football game Y on channel 2, when that game goes to a commercial break I pause that channel and go back to football game X on channel 1.....I can actually do this and hold each channel on "hold" for 30 minutes, thus never watch a commercial...... this is the way to watch NFL football..... TIVO has a button on the right that each time I push it, it will go forward 30 seconds but it I go too far the button on the left will go back 8 seconds each time I push it........TIVO also has a fast forward and fast rewind button........ It don't get no better than this. Bob

I have built about 10-12 rods over the years and what you want is labor intense.......the cost will depend on how much the rod builder wants the work....if he's busy, get out your check book...if not he may cut you a break.
