Maybe it's a law that needs to be changed. Some laws no longer make sense. -

Put him in jail and he who has never violated the law cast the first fish at him...... -
I have more "stuff" then most small tackle shops but it's not really needed to catch fish.....and all that stuff was accumulated over MANY years. I suggest you do the same...

Happy TUNDRA owner here.... -
I have the 2009 Hotmaps Premium (Canada) and it's very good for fishing.....used it in Stoney Lake and it has 1' contour lines but I believe the Hotmaps Platinum has a 3D view of the Kawarthan lakes...ALL the Kawarthan Lakes are in HD in the Premium chip. go to the Navionic's website and check them out there...and you can email them for more info.....

If the OP was in NYS he would of been fine instead of fined... Bottom line the fish and game laws in Ontario are about as complicated as they possibly could publish them.... let's go back to the 1941 regs...life including fishing was better back then... Instead of taking the "Boating Course" online or wherever before being allowed to operate a vessel, maybe there should be a "Fishing Law Course" before you're allowed purchase a fishing license...of course foreigners like myself would be exempt. -
Now I'm totally confused....the last one I caught said "Made in China" on it....
-
You got that all correct expect "Blue Pike" WERE a cousin of the Yellow Pike...but a now extinct species.
-
I know what a chain pickerel is...Canadian's call them grass pike....we catch them in Oneida Lake all the time while fishing for Yellow Pike (pickerel).... Yellow Pike is a Buffalo nickname for pickerel because Lake Erie once had Blue Pike...
-
Pickerel look like small pike...you must mean Yellow Pike.

Good thought process......here in NYS we already have those laws in place to prevent the sale of unwanted baitfish contaminating our waters....ALL baitfish have to be CERTIFIED here within NYS to be sold and or transported. I'm not sure the exact laws in Ontario but I thought Ontario had a similar law preventing the transportation of baitfish outside certain boundaries....but this is small potatoes when you look at seafood markets that can make a lot of money on a fish that has a faithful following because of it's culture.

MANY a Mustang came with a straight six when they were first released '64 with the small block 289 cu engine being the main stay V8 for many years. Did I read the OP first post correctly.....$12,000.00 to upgrade to a V8 engine...there must be a LOT more then a engine up grade for that price. My friend Nick had '65 Mustang when we were in high school and the one nice thing about the back seat is your girlfriend pretty much had to give you a lap dance back there... ...but my '68 Roadrunner had much more room for some serious make in the back seat. I really enjoy seeing the old muscle cars from the 60's and 70's come back although not quite the same....those were the days of pure horse power and great style without concern for aerodynamics and mileage being a concern because gas was only .28 to .35 per US gallon...

RT2, I see you didn't break her in right...instead she broke you in... My bride has ALL the latest power tools she will ever need... Washer Dryer Dishwasher Lawn Mower Weed Wacker Edger Compressor Snowblower and snow shovel with her name on it...(taped on)let's not get carried away is what I always say. Next Mother's Day if she's real good and I don't need another gun I'm thinking of getting her a Power Washer like Roy just got... -
Now there is some good advice...BUT it's not PC so it will not happen and that's SAD... Someday our children or grand children will tell stories about how good the abundant fresh water lakes once were...

LOL I always do my friend... Was there last August...my God the heat...but it was a dry heat... It don't matter what time of the year you go to SIN CITY....ALWAYS a GREAT TIME... Now it's up to you to leave a little money for my next trip...can't have them roll up the sidewalks because RT2 did a Canadian throw down somewhere on the strip... Good Luck and watch out for porn slapper's. Bob

Everyone is way over thinking this....the man likes to fish or he wouldn't be asking here in the first place...keep things simple is what I always say and it don't get any simpler then this....phone a lawn service on the way to the boat launch.....on the way home pick up a self propelled electric start lawn mower for the wife....you can give it to her on Mother's Day.... Problem Solved... Bob -
At one time I did this....... But retired and now it varies...next week I'll be doing this.. However, after that assignment I just be fishing...
