  1. Been awhile since I purchased bait near quinte... Who sells dew worms out that way?
  2. no worries .... I was nervous ordering from Ebay as well.... So far I've purchased the yamaha outboard diagnostic software and computer connector wire for my outboard from a place in Australia and this wireless controller from China with zero issues. Except that both came faster than most things I've order from the states LOL!
  3. Maybe your orders were lost when Canada Post was screwing up badly this winter, it was all over the news. Sure I ordered the Wireless controller from Ebay Item number 320853335301 The LED strips were from amazon http://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dtools&field-keywords=LED%20Strip%20light%2C%20Waterproof%20LED%20Flexible%20Light%20Strip%2012V%20with%20300%20SMD%20LED%2C%203258%20Cool%20White.%2016.4%20Foot%20%2F%205%20Meter.%20With%203M%20Adhesive%20Back.%20By%20Olympic%20Lighting
  4. Seems like even with a new boat there is always something you want add/alter HAHA! My Spring/Summer list: - Titan Tiller Assist - Tracked down a unit last fall, couldn't wait to install. So this one is done. What a great addition, can't wait to actually see what it's like to drive with. - Install the extra seat base I ordered with the boat - Waterproof strip lights under the gunnel. - I got 2 16' strips of waterproof led lights and a wireless key fob for about $30 Canadian delivered, seems like a really good price. Gonna be great at the dock at night and when setting up in the marsh - Bob's 4" jack plate (still have to order this. They have powder coating now, I want to contact them and see if I can order a matching color to the boat ) - Alter my Avery quick set blind so there is more over head cover to hide the big 18' hole down the middle of the blind. This will take some thought, so it does not increase how quickly it sets up now. - Removable Wave Wackers
  5. Man I hope they do it right! Good stock & reasonable prices... AND THE SERVICE LIKE IN THE STATES!!!!!!
  6. I got myself a new chainsaw to cut fallen trees that took our hydro out Sunday haha!
  7. No power since Sunday, fallen branch pulled our hydro wire right out of our meter. I was airing my young dog she was just starting to poop. When I heard a large crack, I yelled "here" a she bolted to me... Another branch just missed her We were very lucky! Fixed my hydro meter today, passed inspection now its a waiting game for hydro to hook us up again. oh I got 5 trees to cut down as well lol!
  8. HAHAHA! That's great Lew!
  9. Have you considered a separate unit for your GPS? I'm still using my Garmin 276C , when I picked this up Blue Charts were the only ones lic to reproduce the government charts. Not sure if that is still the case. it's a great unit fast and accurate in all weather conditions. plus u can u road maps as well. I have a hb 768 with di&so as a depth finder. personally the di&si is kind of a waste on a small screen if u ask me
  10. Thanks everybody for the input :-) maybe it was because my last trip was 2 hours of trolling in 39-42 deg water then just mushing back through the waves , with no on plane running haha! By what everybody is saying this is to be expected, so I'm not gonna stress over it :-) I will pay more attention to it next year as I believe it is my last year of warranty.
  11. HAHA! Wow I thought that was just a Labrador thing! I get the same look when working from home, my 2 yr old black lab is a retrieving freak and doesn't get why when I'm home I'm not throwing something for her HAHA!
  12. Thanks guys! I emailed them, I'm sure they will take care of it if they deem it an issue What are you saying Moosebunk HAHA!
  13. I wasn't sure if maybe outboard engine oil smell different that regular 10-30 used in cars. I email the dealer just to let them know about it. My other outboards have been mixed so I don't know what it's supposed to smell like LOL!
  14. Dropped my boat off for it's second service this weekend. I checked the oil after my last trip (when we got home). I leveled the motor by putting a level on the anticavitation plate. The oil level does not look like it's changed since the last service, but the oil has a gassy smell. Should I mention this to the dealer? It only has 65 hours on the motor ( I was expecting more LOL!) and it has only had the 1 scheduled oil change. Is this cause for concern?
  15. I used to fish every weekend I could, take a few weeks and long weekends through out the soft water season. I'm an avid fisherman, duck hunter and now dog trainer. Since getting my first lab 8 years ago, my field trial bug has grown, I even got a second lab who is now 2.5 yrs old So my summer months are busy, dog training. I leave the fishing to comfortable times spring and fall (well fall is spilt between hunting and fishing) I find myself really enjoying the time on the water when I get it : The older I get the less I like sitting in a boat baking in the sun.
  16. Thanks guys, called Rocky's yesterday to get their hours. They aren't open on Saturday so it will have to wait till next week when I working from home. I'll let everybody know how it goes when I get it back :-)
  17. Yeh that's why I was asking about another place. I didn't want to say because I couldn't remember his name lol! I took 3 diawa td's there, they were very expensive back in the day. They weren't casting well, they had them for a month, I picked them up and nothing was different, questioned them. They blamed it on the frames. Rocky's was the place I was thinking couldn't remember what it was called awesome thanks! I will call him
  18. My terrova battery test button broke this fall. I'm wondering which shop is best to take it for warranty work. I don't remember the name but there used to be a place in Mississauga but am hoping some where easier to get to from Aurora.
  19. Some nice fish there for sure! thanks for rub'n it in LOL! I'm thinking on taking a few days in December as well, will be keep'n an eye (no pun intended) on the weather
  20. Great report, and yes I'm jealous HAHA! Some nice eye's for sure..
  21. Man what a downer LOL!.. I was hoping to get out atleast once more... I'm so torn this time of year...Hunt ducks OR Fish Quinte LOL! Not a bad problem to have I guess.
  22. I can confirm how fast the waves came up. We were just past Sherman's when I started my turn to head back down the other side towards glenora. Before I finished my turn the waves were up and we were reeling up. I myself made a mistake we just got lucky. It could have been easily us. Instead of just working the motor I was reeling in the lines as well and the boat kept spinning side ways. I won't make that mistake again ever! Again, glad to here all is well...
  23. Yup Guest gets my vote...had 2 one on my last boat and 1 on my current. Solid state and water proof..can't beat them.. And from what I remember they tend to be smaller and thinner than both minnkota and cabelas brands
  24. Well sounds like they were saved, that is the most important. Wonder if the boat can be recovered. I feel awful for them to have to go thru that then loose such a nice boat on top of it all :-( Wow good job on the eye's! I've never gotten more than 4 or 5 there in a day lol!
  25. Hey Terry Did you guys get many, just curious. I ran td-11's in clown, rainbow, firetiger and some purple/blue/pink silver color lol! We ran over a ton of fish 5-6 big balls of bait or baits were running between 15-30' but only had one take, our boards were run at 100' & 50'. Also I was impressed that trolling with the wind I got down to 1.9mph with the yammie, no trolling bags out either :-) We were only out for 2 hours so didnt get alit of lure changes in. I need more different baits lol!
