  1. Probably my favourite body of water right now (the fact that I don't own a boat might bias me but even still its an amazing river)
  2. Great googlie mooglie thats a big fish. Way to go !
  3. Nice stuff Mike thanks for sharing, great hold
  4. I love that pic of the young heron. Too bad to see a great day smeared by the ignorance of others.
  5. Great stuff, nice to have a camera man along
  6. Sure was a nice fish 10 months ago Sorry couldn't resist
  7. Saturday on the Grand for Smallies, Sunday or Monday anywhere I can dip a line is fine (is it bad to bail on a turkey dinner being given in your own home because you'd rather be fishing?) Have a great weekend everyone.
  8. Nice surprise fish for sure. Great pics too.
  9. Nice pics Mike, that water doesn't look like a lot of fun but then again I'm a big water wimp
  10. Nice fish Minnow. Nothing like trying a spot/depth you're not use to and then producing fish like that, well done.
  11. 1.7 pound perch - is it reasonable to call a perch a Hog because if so that certainly counts. Congrats.
  12. Nice slide show. If you want it to play directly in the forum topic just switch the "Post Options" at the bottom to "HTML On - Auto Linebreak Mode" and then paste in the HTML tag in the list of photo bucket options and you'll get something like this: <embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://i63.photobucket.com/remix/player.swf?videoURL=http%3A%2F%2Fvid63.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh136%2Fmikepike_2006%2F30b67f24.pbr&hostname=stream63.photobucket.com"></embed>
  13. First think I thought looking at the fish was 'holy crap your head could fit in its mouth'. Great great fish, congratulations you have ever right to gloat.
  14. Nice fish, gotta love the Grand. To add more pictures your best bet is to use photobucket or flikr (or other image hosting sites). Upload your pictures there then link them into your report via IMG tags (or embedded HTML). I think if you search for image hosting on the board you'll find a few posts with some details on getting images up here.
  15. Nice fish Johnny. Sounds like an interesting lake.
  16. I'm still not sure about my finder - I try to use it without the fish id but all it showed during that shot was a skinny horizontal line at both depths so I was kinda doubting the fish id but then the panfish started hitting the jigs. We never did get much from the 10' depth ones though. Was kinda funny outfitting the little rental with our extra trolling motor and big battery plus the finder and its battery than our 10 rods and 4 bags of gear. Surprised we had room to stand and fish . The lake is very small Johnny (with our 8hp motor we went end to end in 15 minutes) but it also has great looking structure. For example we were fishing at a couple spots where it was 10 feet of water with a sharp weed line that came up 7-8 feet (couple feet under the water) and other spots with 5 feet of water and slop and pads allover but we just couldn't seem to find them (I think our official excuse at the end of the day is that we were expecting the 20k winds the weather channel warned about and when those winds didn't show up it ruined our game plan - I thought it was a good excuse). If you're looking for walleye it has several deep (30-50) holes and we were told they were hitting well just off the fast water by the dams but we didn't really try for 'eyes so I can't confirm that.
  17. Great stuff Matt. Now i'm off to buy some more black and orange stuff (when does the buying stop!)
  18. I bet there was an 'eye or two in her stomach if that counts, she looks very well fed and healthy. Congrats on a great landing job
  19. Nice Muskie and cool video. I used the HTML tag here and switched the post to HTML ON with auto linebreak mode and it seems to play in frame here: <embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://i186.photobucket.com/remix/player.swf?videoURL=http%3A%2F%2Fvid186.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fx276%2FIceguy_2007%2F6dbd13ab.pbr&hostname=stream186.photobucket.com"></embed>
  20. Congratulations Brian. Some beautiful fish there.
  21. Congrats to the both of you.
  22. So a couple weeks back BitSmith and I decided to get together for another rental day. He knew some spots on pigeon and I've been having some luck lately on Scugog so we decided to try Lovesick Lake . We pulled up a bit after nine at Sticklers resort. No problems at all and though the 8hp motor seemed a bit week the boat was actually pretty nice (even had padded chairs ooh ahh), I'd definitely recommend them to anyone. I'd been to lovesick once before a couple months earlier and had a couple spots I thought we should be able to find some in so off we puttered all decked out with Bitsmiths trolling motor and my fish finder hanging off the back (mental note - gotta buy me a trolling motor - made the day much nicer). We hit the first spot on my tour of 'honey holes' and soon enough had the first fish <a href=" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1426/1465156259_74ca74a6e7_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1860" /></a> Hey its a start right? Bitsmith then pulled in our first bass but it was smaller than the rockbass and got tossed back before I could get a good pic <a href=" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1321/1466011650_abac4d8784_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1861" /></a> He'd regret that as we soon found out we were in for one of those days as the vultures started circling <a href=" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1119/1466007648_b7a5125df8_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1863" /></a> <a href=" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1415/1465151939_3a0e23d339_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1865" /></a> Eventually I got into some really good fish: <a href=" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1019/1466005150_ad2b3a92df_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1866" /></a> And if you can believe it a real smallie! <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/emosworld/1465153765/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1130/1465153765_8d1cb925f7_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1867" /></a> (notice the hold close to camera trick) As the sun started to set we rolled over a spot that the finder showed covered with panfish <a href=" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1033/1465155467_20fbcbc856.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMG_1871" /></a> So off went Bithsmith to add one more species to the days list of monsters <a href=" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1350/1466009490_4b11007131_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMG_1869" /></a> We caught a few more small guys then called it a day. Definitely not what we were looking for and never even got out the muskie gear (we were so set on finding a good bass spot we just rand out of time). So I guess the lesson is that when you know a couple lakes and are paying good money for a rental sometimes its a good idea to actually go to those lakes you know. Ah well, a weekend of panfish I guess is still better than a kick in the
  23. Nice fish Lew. Love to hear the reports where the fish actually went along with the plan, great stuff.
  24. Congrats Cliff! I told you there were fish there, welcome to my world of love-hate with Scugog . Oh and yeah by the way here's another 20lb salmon - nice throwin
