  4. BUSTED FINALLY!!!!......The second I saw this picture I damn near fell off my chair... I thought I was looking at a picture of myself holding a huge Muskie I didn't remember catching. This guy could pass as my twin! I've shown this picture to my wife and kids... it fooled them as well as all of my friends...but not my Mother. When I do show it around I usually wait for a few comments and then I fess up." Real fish , real angler just not me" I'm glad you know where the fish comes from and who the LUCKY Angler was . Thank You! RFS
  5. I've had to perform CPR on more than 10 occasions and it's never pleasant .. the outcome isn't always good. But when you do have a good outcome... they say that signing your donor card is the "Gift Of Life" they're right. And so is having your CPR!!!! Certified since 1986 and re-trained every 6 months.... I'll tell ya It sure has went through many a change. RFS

  8. I worked at both as a guide and dock boy.... Chaudiere is more luxurious and geared mostly to the AP crowd and less HK.. awesome !! The BEST LODGE ON THE FRENCH. ***** Lunge is more laidback and geared to some AP and mostly HK unless things have changed since 1993-1995. As for fishing ... well the lodges are about a mile away from each other.. you decide. At that time it was WAY CHEAPER to stay @ Lunge. RFS
  9. Four mile creek [accessible from Airport Rd or Trout Lake Rd]is full of em... but be careful... there is a rather long stretch of that creek that is a SANCTUARY 365 24/7. Check the regs ...lot# & concession#. I know a guy who fishes it all the time always does well. There is also Smokey creek towards Sturgeon Falls on hwy 17W... turn up Riding Stables Road and it's the first bridge you see. Check in the Regs book for the "Other Fishing Opportunities" have a GPS handy 'cause most of the lakes listed are listed by co-ordinates many within a 25 minute drive from the Bay. You also have a lot of opportunities on the road to Temiskamingue ... Stop by @ Billy Bob's or Trout Lake Bait and Canoe and he can give ya some pointers. Good Luck! RFS
  10. I've tried it.... On a dead line and .... NOTHING!!! I've tried it on a Jiggin' rod and SUCCESS!!! Gotta keep her movin' RFS
  11. Bear Lake? Highway 805 North of River Valley? or South of Lavigne on Hwy 64? North of River ..... Splake crystal clear waters. South of Lavigne .... Walleye ... Perch.... Pike ..(smallies and muskies and panfish)...stained waters lots of weed beds and rocks ... mostly private property. Buddy has been doing well this year with some fish in the freezer ... enough for his Good-Friday fishfry. Good Luck! RFS
  12. I have 10 SKIN mounts on the wall of my "Man Cave" all are real fish. The early ones like the 40 yr+ Rainbow is filled with CEMENT and weighs more now than when it was caught. The rest are filled with styrofoam. RFS Foam Cement
  13. Is he a member? I like the Idea ... Seeing that I fish alone 90% of the time ... Seems that it would be an extra hand or "Foot" in the boat. Sometimes fighting and netting a large fish by yourself can be a problem... might help one of US to not be one of those 100 Canadians or 200 Americans. RFS
  14. Hello !!! and WELCOME ABOARD!!! 'Hope you stick around ... No dead spots.
  15. Baby Anbesol and a frozen teething ring worked for my kids 7 & 13 RFS
  16. For every ..Orvis...Shimano..G Loomis... St Croix.... I've owned and broken, there is a Berkley Rod out there that will do the same job and is just as sensitive as the overpriced designer competition... And guess what ? Most of them are under 100.00$ You cannot take away my Lightnin' Rods or Gorilla Sticks... just like bread and butter to me. Trilene has NEVER let me down. I'm not a big fan of scented baits so I have nothing to say on that matter. Just my 5 cents. RFS
  17. EH! 6'6" Medium action Berkeley Lightnin' Rod , Zebco Hypercast II 20 series spinning reel, 300Yd spool Trilene XL 10Lb. 50$ assortment of terminal tackle.. A couple Williams Wabler #60 spoons , Rapala Original,Twister Tails and a variety of jigs..single hooks and split shots a bobber or two.. swivels snaps and leaders. All this available @ CTC for about 150.00$ This gets me out every time ..I can catch everything I fish for with the above mentioned items. RFS

  19. A man wakes up in the hospital bandaged from head to foot. The doctor comes in and says, "Ah, I see you've regained consciousness. Now you probably won't remember, but you were in a huge pile-up on the freeway. You're going to be ok, you'll walk again and everything, but your penis was severed in the accident and we couldn't find it.." The man groans, but the doctor goes on, "You've got $9000 in insurance compensation coming and we now have the technology to build a new penis. They work great but they don't come cheap. It's roughly $1000 an inch." The man perks up. "So," the doctor says, “You must decide how many inches you want. But this is something you should discuss with your wife. IF you had a five incher before and get a nine incher now she might be a bit put out. If you had a nine incher before and you decide to only invest in a five incher now, she might be disappointed. It's important that she plays a role in helping you make a decision." The man agrees to talk it over with his wife. The doctor comes back the next day, "So, have you spoken with your wife?" "Yes I have," says the man. "And has she helped you make a decision?" "Yes" says the man. "What is your decision?" asks the doctor. "We're getting granite countertops." RFS
