  1. lol... thanks guys... yeah, she always right, always... and i've also learned that what's hers is hers and whats mine is also hers- i own nothing, but am responsible for everything lol just got in from our honeymoon, spent in temagami, weather was nasty but the nights were good lol
  2. Today is the day the girlfriend of 7yrs and i finally say i do... my goal today is to remain standing without the assistance of the groomsman, not hurl, not step on her dress... and the biggest thing we're looking forward too is getting it over and done with so we can finally relax some!! (we buried her grandmother on Wed, so it's been an over the top stress filled week) .... and then we're off to Temagami (Jumping caribou) for 6 whole days of fishing fun (she picked it!!), some relaxing and a slower pace of life... If anyone has any tips for either marriage or the temagami area (specifically jumping caribou or a small stream we can wet a line on... haven't been to the U.S. in a long time for my rainbow fishing and my local brookie spot hasn't sen me either) feel free to post it or PM me... so far my marriage advice consited of a phone call yesterday from my uncle saying "you've got 28 1/2hrs to change your mind... 28 1/2hrs...." *click* lol
  3. Thanks Joe... will do so, after we get back from our fishing honeymoon, yes she picked Temagami and fishin' for our honeymoon no wonder i love her so much lol
  4. the GF and i are being married this saturday and we've made arangements for a '67 Ford Galaxy convertible, red on red w/white top, for the pictures and maybe for a cruise around in... the pics just got me a tad more excited lol
  5. get used to it, it's typical and normal.... all N-Body's seem to be this way, i've got a '96 Grand am and have to change the pads yearly because of it.... calipers every 3 years (new, not remanned), rotors every 2 years (have OEM Brembo's on now, will be switching to powerslot) and cardone semi-mettalic pads (will be switching to ceramics i think, or even hawk pads)... only thing i can figure is the master cylinder has gone bad... but reading the message boards, it's just too common, they eat brakes, just keep an eye on them
  6. I'll be on Jumping Caribou lake next week... but here's a start for you... http://www.vacationcottagerentals.com/
  7. thanks for the links icefisherman... you've got alot more info then i have lol i think i only have 1 link that you didn't already have.... not sure if it's any good to you or not... http://www.vacationcottagerentals.com/area_attractions.html
  8. dang, i'm gonna be 20mins south of temagami on the 27th of this month at a cottage for the first time.... was hoping to PM wayne, but obviously he won't get my message before we leave... so post up any links you have of that area and if i find anything i'll do the same!!
  9. Thanks for the post Steve, i knew you were heading to see Reg and grab some stuff from him to help out, i know you know your stuff and Reg says the same, i think now that Gill Finigans is gone i will come see you for my big purchases... i've been saying i'm gonna come and see you for a longtime now (i go by Spanky on NFN) and i did when you were in transition but i couldn't find you cause you were in the middle of moving, but i'm hoping i'm about to find some time this weekend (saturday afternoon) to stop by- 1 week before i get married, so i need a fishing/sanity check from all the matrimonial related madness!! lol
  10. Well, all i can say is that it's horrible news. I personally fish with Reg and Lorna, seems almost weekly, and as easy as it may seem to just walk away from it... it's probably the hardest thing either have had to do, being it was their dream. I met both of them when the store opened a while back, since then i've become good friends with them... solely through the shoppe, Reg and Lorna both helped me get my products out there, which they didn't have to do. They shared more info then anyone could imagine and as has been said already, if they didn't have it they would order it ASAP and usually have it within a week or 2... sometimes even days!! They sponsored alot of kids/charity events... they did their best to get every customer who walked in their doors onto fish. I can't even begin to count the numerous conversations i've had with perfect strangers at the shoppe, who i ended up fishing with. And for the bass guys, i don't want to say they had the biggest selection in the niagara area for bass gear, but i'll go out on a limb and say they did... It was funny, a while back (2yrs or more), i was talking to Reg about his "competitors" (the other mom and pop shops in Niagara) and he said something that stuck with me... he didn't feel any of them to be a competitor, as has been mentioned, the big box stores were more of a "threat" than anything, never really perceived like that before... but it rings true!! I live closer to 3 shops then Gill Finnigan's, but i always drove the 45mins to see Reg and Lorna to make my purchases... Very sad to see the shoppe close... only wish for the best for the both of them!!
  11. let's just hope there's never a vasoline/lube shortage, we'd really be complaining then!!
  12. does anyone not see the picture of the pope in there? i swear it it's right there in the first pic, my wife says i'm delusional... maybe i do need a head check :s
  13. for alot of reviews, go here http://www.tirerack.com/ type in your vehicle info and tire size, find a tire click on it and read the reviews... i'm not much more help then that, sorry
  14. 1x2 of course, splurged for the extra option you know... can go mudding in it, but the underside of it hits everything and it gets stuck easy... got rid of them stupid creature comforts too, like power window and locks, tilt steering... but i still get 500km to a tank and i'm happy about the 30mpg+ i get on it, especially while the gas companies have ass all bent over the hoods of our vehicles!!
  15. makes me appreciate my neon, 35L gets me 500km..... too bad i can't even tow an empty trailer with it lol yep, my quality of posts are lacking
  16. pretty much everything fishing related is free... boats can get you dinged 25% if they're over 30.5 metres... rods and reels are 6.5%, sportsmesn fishing line is retail packages are 7%... for 90% of the stuff it's free, but also most is listed under commercial fishing. I do the B3 self entries myself (if any truckers clear through Queenston/Lewiston and have to go inside, i'm the one on the computer manually entering everything lol), clearing customs through my business, instead of using a broker.. it's just a whole lot easier for me and makes things cheaper aswell.... especially since the Tarrif schedule is available online, got it d/l and knokw exactly what to enter before i leave my house and go pick up my stuff!!
  17. i personally use Zaino or meguirs on my car... Zaino lasting alot longer, not sure how it would work for a boat tho?
  18. that's the example they give you, current exchange rates are $1.10 per $1. U.S. (not $1.54 as they show in the example)... so you'd convert the $59. U.S. x 1.15- to be safe (our dollar is at .89 per U.S. dollar), then figure in the 2.5% (or whatever their conversion fee is at)... i use mastercard myself, but i'm positive they'd charge you close to the exchange rate, the $1.54 they show on the site would be almost .50 more expensive then it actually is.... and it says it's just an example my inlaws use VISA alot for their business, never paid much more then the current exchange rate... www.xe.com/ucc for current rates EDIT- DouG beat me to it lol
  19. it's actually only $65. or so converted to Canadian, as for shipping, ship it to me i'll bring it across lol... usps is the least expensive way, don't think they can give you tracking tho and it takes a bit longer... i'm not sure tho, i have a U.S. addy and just ship there and pick up, but from what i've read USPS is the way to go
  20. i assume you carry them Steve? can't find them around here, 1/0 is the biggest i can get.... i know i need bigger ones, just can't find them is all... might come by one day and grab a pack or 2!!
  21. nice night out tho, eh?! we had the same luck the other night... i've got about a 11% hook up rate with 1/0 circle hooks, suddenly i don't feel so bad... but i know you'll pick it up like you do every year and show me just how awful i am lol
  22. i like raven hooks for trout... and mustad ultra points for bassin'... Gammy's seem too be too thin and bend easy and lose the point fast... just me tho
  23. i gotta go meet the minister for my wedding tomorrow morning in Grimsby, then off to a nice little trout stream i know and i'm betting i won't see a soul, can't wait for some nice scrappy little brookies... then i'll top the night off catfishing lol
  24. http://www.bassmagnetlures.com/ if he doesn't have any stock, he can make some for you!!
