  8. talked to the MNR this summer about the number of them i see flying up the petawawa river, and every morning hundreds fry upriver and late in the day they fly back !!!! guess where they are going ??? right into algonquin park and pigging out on specks, and having their way on all those nice little trout lakes !!!! they are showing up where they never were before...23yrs of fishing the ottawa river up there and never seen any till about 10yrs ago and it was only a few,now they have taken over a few islands in the river, and they are totally dead of any trees,or life period !!!! and the stench is just the most vile thing you have ever smelled !!! the mnr says their habds are tied i went right into the head office in pembroke to complain and get answers from the bioligist !!! its a joke....the cormorants should all be shot....right now believe it or not THEY ARE A PROTECTED BIRD !!!!!!!

  17. well theres guys out fishing some of the kawartha lakes including pigeon, and sturgeon as well as rice lake !!! there is some safe ice to walk on and tow a portable, but common sense has to be the main factor here ....so i am not going to post any locations and tell people where to fish cause the ice is stil not great and what if someone goes through and you told them where to go and fish this time of year ??? so most guys i talked to at my local bait shop are staying very close to shore and mostly fishing well away from current and open areas far from shore cheers & happy new year
  18. yes same as sturgeon lake the next one to the west of pigeon, and we still have lots of open water, but its not safe yet.....and we still have more warm weather comming hell its plus 4 in bobcaygeon right now !!!!!
  19. you guys should have tried the launch at duffins creek, and flatlined to the nuke for browns...i used to launch there quite a bit.....just sayin...at least you tried
  20. for me i want to go snowmobiling bad !!! and if we dont get all the snow that we usually do its gonna mean really low water levels next year as most of ontario watersheds are 80% dependant on snowpac for their water supply it was interesting to read that as its something i thought only happened in the mountains but it does here too....
  21. happy birthday TJ !!!!! cheers man "clink"
