Well here are a few of the many !!!!...it was a great year for sure.... and some big lake ontario salmon & rainbows & cohos now some ottawa river walleyes & some very nice scenery pics i took,while i was fishing,man i love those pics they bring back great memories!!!!! bucket.com/albums/j185/hookedonfishing/summerpics2005100.jpg[/img] well there are just too,many to post as i remember everyone...man i am so addicted to fishing !!!!!...great thread guys keep those pics comming cheers

Yes what glen said !!!!...yes the ice does affect the level of sunlight that gets through,clear ice with no snow cover will let more light in too,so species that like to feed in low light conditions,can now under the ice have that period last much longer as with the snow cover it can be quite dark all day long,giving fish like walleyes hours & hours to feed when ever they want to,...so sometimes you have to try fishing at different times of the morning,noon and before dusk,and when its overcast it makes it even darker still,we have had days where we were on the ice at 5 am,all ready,lines down the holes.and nothing till around 10am when the bright morning sky turned cloudy,and got very overcast & dark,well thats when they turned on,and im talking about both lake trout & walleyes,so try different times and areas,at different light conditions....cheers

I thought that if it is left in a position for more than 24hrs,that its considered a permanent hut?????...im not 100% sure but thats what i was lead to believe...

Well it happens every year,and people still make very bad decisions,why did they go out on the lake in a blizzard,with no GPS,and no floater suit????....very bad ,bad decision....and to make matters worse,they told their wives that they wernt going to go out on the ice???...man i feel sorry for their families....its very sad

Well done man !!! great fishing today for sure. ...we landed about 25 keepers today that was it,and i lost a pike,we were on the gilford side,i guess we should have been over there,thanks for the info !!...cheers

WOW...its too bad dan and myself didnt see you guys. ..we were out of gilford today as well,and we did ok with about 25 keepers,some really nice ,and some small ones i also lost about a 4lb pike right at the hole,and yes joey there sure was alot of people out there today,dan and i were about the farthest south,and were on the edge of the crowd,and about 15ft was the majic number today for us....i just finished cleaning all those perch ....cheers

Great report !!!.. .and yes it was pretty steady for a while this morning,myself and dan,a.k.a percher ,well we went out of gilford this morning and kept 25 and released at least 2 times that many !!!!!..some were real nice but yes lots of small ones as well...cheers
