Well im just passing some info on to everyone that one of our members fishing tackle store was broken into !!! hirks tackle & marine,in northeast oshawa, was broke into late thusday night,early friday morning,they used a hammer to smash in the front door glass,i was talking to him at the store yesterday,the police were there and took prints,and stuff,so he will have to wait,they left the hammer,and their hat on the counter as well,they ended up stealing lots of top end reels,abu-garcia revos,okuma centerpins,2 eagle fish elite 500/gps fish finders,as well as a bag full of salmon lures,there were spinning reels to,and he had his store lap-top computer stolen too !!!!they were in & out very quick,as there were reels laying in the middle of the floor that they dropped and didnt even pick up...so dave cannot even post on the board here as his puter was stolen,so i am doing this for him,he is still open for business,and will remain open....so he wants me to ask that if anyone gets asked to buy some reels or graphs right away for to good to be true prices,please let him know,as only fishermen would buy this kind of stuff right !!!! doesnt that tick you off,right before christmas too,the cops told him that there have been 14 B&E in the area in the last week, so just letting all the members know about daves store....

I think thats worldwide wayne....hey i have a 1999 jiffy model 30 10inch i will sell for $299.00 !!!...lol..lol.. ya it weighs a dang ton,wont start worth a dam,and has a mind of its own,and to think i payed almost $400.00 for it brand new.....i was a sucker and was talked into how good they are,ya right

Well roy like the old saying goes: If ya cant beat em join em !!!! might as well go ice fishing and help pass the winter,it beats being cooped up inside all winter !!! i used to do so much ice fishing,and do it all over southern and central ontario,i just cant do as much of it anymore cause of my back,but its still nice to get out a dozen times or so,and hey at least the days will start to get a little longer from here on in right !!!! bring on march & april spring salmon & crappie fishing.....cheers

II have that some rod rack at home i bought it 2 years ago,and i think it was $49.99 !!!! so yes i think its a great deal for sure,and wayne you are right,there is probly only 10 of them in the store,and about 5 mins after they open they will be gone !!!! its just a way of getting you inot the store,to spend your christmas $$$$$$$$$...LOL..LOL..LOL

WOW...i wonder how far up north they were to have 5 ft of ice !!!!! man that would be some serious manual drilling thats for sure, better have a good heart to do that, in a situation like that there is always DYNAMITE !!!!

Well my handheld lowrance h20 i finder is amazing,and i even have a navionics chip in mine,you can load all the road maps in it as well,and its waterproof,go to www.lowrance.com and go to the gps section and check them out,they have several models for cars too,i take mine all over,and even in my boat,and with the navionics ,chip it amazing,it is great for ice fishing too !!! good-luck cheers

Thanks for the link buster !!!...well a bud of mine has 05 dakota,and he is getting rid of it,as the commute from peterbourough to whitby is killing him,in fuel costa,and he has had several major things go wrong with the truck,and had to take it in to the dealer like 4-5 times for a bad steering rack ??? and its still not fixed,so he has had gm trucks in the past and will be getting another one according to him !!!! just my 2 cents...cheers

Nice brown & some winter steel you got there !!!. ..pink roe bags were always my favourite color too,the company that made the spawnee,roe tying machine used to make a dull pink color mesh,and other than fishing in dirty water,it was the best overall color hands down !!!! i wonder if they still make that color,as i dont do much trib fishin anymore cause of my screwed up back ....cheers

Ya i guess im guilty as well,i usually end up not signing out either !!! and will surf from work too,but at work all the so called chat sites are automatically blocked,so at work all i can do is just surf,so one of those lurkers are me !!!!..LOL..LOL.. cheers

Great report david !!! glad you got out for one last time,on the soft water that is. ...that was some fast & furious action out there,at least you were able to get the boat in the water,i think and hope we will all be in for a great hard water season down on the bay !!! thats a nice hand painted yo-zuri too,nice pics of the fish too....cheers

Great magazine,i have been a suscriber for years & years,and have even fished with john kerr,not to mention he did an article about me back in june !!!! there have also been a few other OFC members pictures in the mag as well !!! im looking forward to john as the new editor...cheers

Yes pike slayer there are 2 kinds,one is metalic shinny,and one is the dull matt finish,i prefer the metalic,man it sure puts out a flash,and about the x-raps,yes they are awesome for everything from bassto salmon on lake ontario,no argument there,have you seen his crayfish lures & the shad stule baits as well,they look almost real !!!!

Well i say congrats to grant for all his hard work in developing& producing his very own lures !!!! I think they look amazing,and i have caught a few walleyes on the deep diver medium shinny metalic perch....i wish i had them down at the bay of quinte this fall,i would have run a few for sure !! and those shad rap type,baits look awesome,and i will be running them more next year,i dont think people realize all the time & effort that go into a venture like that,and acually succeding,so i give him credit for sure,and i hope that there are more to come too,as of yet i have had no problems with any of his lures...cheers

Y es i seen the grand river catfish show as well,and it was very good,but wfn has had programming issues in the past as i have had it since it came on the tube,and believe me they are always having mixed up programming,you think that a certain show is comming on and then,its something else,but overall i still think its a great channel 24/7 fishing !!!! gotta love it.....yes there are a few shows that i dont care for but,i do watch all the AWESOME SHOWS like extreme angler, the next-bite, the .angling edge [al lindner] bob izumi,facts of fishing [the show] cheers...

Thanks for the ice fishing update !!!...well catching 3 eyes is still a good day,and im sure things will pick up,i would be happy with 3 walleyes on the dinnner table right now !!!keep at it...cheers
