Respectfully I disagree Wayne. I'm happy to hear about a sunny day fishing down south or whatever other adventures Cliff and Sue might get into. I however don't wanna see any pics of Cliff in a Speedo

Why should I get fined, when....

Outdoor cats whether feral or pets will cause the same problems. They all hunt and kill and they all whizz and crap in your yard. It isn't a problem when the number of cats is small..but IMHO that still doesn't make it right. Your pets are your responsibility. I don't know anyone who lets there kids loose to let them kill wildlife or crap in someone else's yard. Not sure why some feel it is OK for there pets to do that A topic that gets under my skin. My apologies to the OP for hijacking his thread. -

I understand that Wayne...but thankfully we have never had an issue from critters chewing things up or being where they shouldn't be. Maybe it is because we have winter tennants so someone is always there. However we do have a small opening to the crawl space under the cottage that the critters can always get in. I can't get to it from under the cottage...to tight a fit for me...and I would have to rip the porch apart to access from outside. So we used to find peanut shells under the cottage. Now we have chipmunk and bird carcasses left by those darling cats. And it is sand under there as well...which means to them it is a big old litter box. Yeah I just love people's outdoor cats -
Enjoying the updates Cliff. Keep them coming

Agree 100%. We have a neighbor in Bobcaygeon who started feeding the ferrel cats 2 summers ago. One of my wives favorite pastimes is reading and she could sit in the yard for hours in her Muskoka chair armed with peanuts to feed the dozens of chipmunks and bluejays. Two summers of the neighbor feeding the cats and the chipmunks are completely wiped out...we literally only seen one all last summer...when before we used to see as many as 4-5 at a time. And to add insult to injury most weekends when we get to the cottage Friday night we will have to chase a bunch of those cats off our porch when we get up there I have nothing against cats...we have a house cat and she is a great pet and companion. I just don't understand people who think it's okay to let there cats out. To me it is one of the most despicable disrespectful things you can do to your neighbors or your neighborhood. I have seen a favorite fun pastime of Debbe's completely wiped out by outdoor cats. Very upsetting and sad. -
It really would not effect me much...I us a Visa card maybe once or twice a year. But for others the inconvenience of not having a card would be far greater. It can take as long as 4 weeks to be issued a new Visa....trust me I know.....and a month is a very long time if you rely on your card for daily business. That is why the 2 card system is a good idea for many.

A young lad was in his truck at Maple Leaf Park last Sunday when I walked off the lake. Had a good chat and then he checked through my buckets. Always happy to have them boys around.

Agreed. But Visa didn't find anything suspicious in any of there other transactions with other customers. Nor did my wife when she did a search from her end at the bank. It seems like an honest mistake and I'm pretty certain we will get our burner. It's just nice to know that the bank AND Visa both found nothing shady about this company. Made our day.
-
Joey our only concern was that a despicable company had our Visa info. Visa informed Debbe that there investigation showed that it was a reputable company and not to worry about fraud. They told her that they did not want us to call if we got the burner because once the dispute investigation process has been started they really don't care or have the time to monitor if we get the burner or not. The focus then is on the backs of the company to prove our agreement was honored...as Visa has a 15 day "law' to provide goods once the customer has been debited. Neither of us really care about the burner or the $$$...we are just happy that some shyster doesn't have our Visa info.
-
Debbe told me Visa was taking over. If we get the burner in the mean time they do NOT want us to let them know. It is up to the BBQ burner company to prove to Visa that we received the burner. Once that happens they will debit our account. The company has 4-6 weeks to follow through...but Visa has promised a refund of our money in 5 business days.

Posting on the internet for the wife to see you own 6+ fishing rods....there has to be a Darwin award for that -
Ordered a burner for my BBQ from an online site on Dec 18th. My Visa was debited Dec 19th. The site promised delivery within 2-5 business days. 2 weeks go by and no burner. I gave them that long being Xmas and all. I sent an email and got a response....sorry for the delay...blah blah blah...but still no burner. Today Debbe takes the info and calls Visa. We will get a full refund from Visa of our money because the law states that merchandise must be received within 15 days of the account being debited. I did not know that and thought I would pass that info on in case anyone on here has been scammed buying stuff online. Wait your 15 days and file a dispute with Visa.

I'm still waiting for the day where an electric drill on a hand auger really makes any sense and saves any time or energy. Cause when that day comes I will be 1st in line to buy one. Edit to add. Not meaning to Hijack your post Brian. It looks like you did an awesome job on the adaptor. I always enjoy posts where someone shows some of there McGyverism. My frustration with the electric drill option is based solely with the limited number of holes you can drill before your battery is dead. Some days running and gunning for perch/crappie I cut lots of holes and one battery would not last the full day and I don't want the extra weight of taking 2 batteries as I am a walker. If the batteries get to the point where they would last a full day....I'll be a very happy camper.

Fire Extinguisher recharge....NF
crappieperchhunter replied to crappieperchhunter's topic in General Discussion
Sounds like I'm just as far ahead to buy a new one. Which is what I figured. Truth be told I never gave it any thought before and just figured it was good to go as long as it had never been used. It has been hanging up in the laundry room for 24years Next question. How do I dispose of it? -
We have a Fire Extinguisher at home that we got because we have a wood stove. It is rechargeable. I have never had this done but it is time to do so. Can anyone here point me in the right direction to get it recharged and give me a heads up on the cost? Thanks for any help you can offer.

My old man also has some American bills from before confederation I believe. They are hand signed and are for individual states not the united states of america. They have been passed down to him and as far as I know he has never had them appraised. He tried locally once but the local guy said he didn't have a clue and referred my dad to someone in Toronto. If you know my old man driving on a big highway...the 401...is like krptonite to superman so he never pursued it any further.

New spot pays off. Fresh fish for dinner

Couldn't agree more. The fish finder puts way more fish on the ice...and stops you from wasting time on dead water. I curse all the wasted years I was too cheap to spring for one. -

The filleting job looks a little rough...what did you use...a butter knive You can't beat fresh perch IMHO. Well done Brian. -
My dad....who's in his 70's....did the same and gave them to Debbe and I when our kids where born. A couple of years ago we gave half of them to our daughter when our grandson was born. Our son will get his half when he has a family. I told my daughter to pass them on when she has grandkids. Hopefully by then they might actually be worth something. Right now it's just a fun family tradition.
