the girls and I have a big trip planned next week, fairbanks ppk to lake superior ppk to chutes ppk and then back to the hammer, I was told to fish the long point at fairbanks, chutes is a no go, were at lake superior for three days and I was wondering if anybody has any insight as where to fish in this park, this years been really slow for me, six mile lake ppk nothing, pt burwell ppk I saw some people catching fish, wheatly ppk caught some perch in the lake, esker lakes ppk skunked, samuel de champlain ppk skunked though I saw one lady catch a 6lb catfish, restoule ppk seemed really shallow on the park side but perch were there, we have been to byng park twice and only one nice catfish to show for it plus a dozen little creeks to and from our travels this summer, I'm looking forward to lake superior ppk, any help fishing this place would be greatly appreciated, I'll post pics when we get back. I have never been to limerick lake but a guy who works with the wife said that the lakes full of bass and they're everywhere, best fishing he had, swears by using kelly bait weedless worms but I think anythng would work in this lake, a story and some pics would be nice to see after your trip, goodluck

we camped there a couple years ago for the weekend, theres a little creek you can check out for some perch, on the water around the lighthouse looked promising, tons of deer in the park but the beach really sucked, when we went they were dragging the beach and piling mountains of algae blooms every 20 feet, you couldn't see your toes in 2 inches of water and the beach stank, the park store is the best thing about the park, down the road is sandbanks ppk, great beaches, nice sites and if you walk the dunes early in the morn, bass 20 feet offshore just waiting for you, 40 minutes difference between parks but sandbanks stretch of water is so much nicer, the other park you would be better off fishing for deer

here in the hammer I've never seen so many bouts of hail, seemed like every ten minutes it would hail for five minutes, storm lasted about 2 hours, I,ve been away camping north of Kirkland Lake this last week and it stormed on and off the last five days and to come home to this was the icing to a very wet and soggy cake. not a good week weather wise

Ive heard fron several sources out there the polamar knot is the strongest knot out there and from experience I have straightened the hook on my jig heads and freeded my snag before the knot gave way on 6#test, easy to tie it works for me, line to line I use the surgeons knot ultra easy ultra strong, both knots are a little hard to tie at night without knowing where your line is but I really dont fish at night

are you talking about fishing from the provincial park

a persons hair is not a uniform, if your employer has a dress code policy and you choose not to follow it because of a charitable gesture, maybe shame on the employer but you set yourself up for the axe, live and learn, but I wonder if this restaurant serves people who are bald, do they turn down paying patrons because of lack of hair? maybe people with bald family members or friends that are a little on the chrome side of things should boycott this place, I wonder if the owner goes bald would he fire himself? come on man we live in a great coutry this should not happen! just my 2cents, to each there own

went to fortinos to puchase a rabbit, the thing was smaller than a little chicken but cost me 15 bucks, I've never tried rabbit but I've seen a whack recipes so I gave her a go. the end result was brutal, I floured the rabbit browned it on all sides pulled the rabbit out added some onions and carrots sauted that a little bit deglazed with some white wine added some chicken stock with some fresh herbs added the rabbit and braised it for two hours. totally tasteless and very rubbery, I'll make rabbit again but I'm not buying one, where I work there seems to be an abundance of wild rabbits so I figuse I'll start trapping them and practise my recipes if they are safe to eat. other than rabbies is there other things I should look for as far as safe eating? another thing is at work I have started a garden and am having some trouble with cucumber beetles, I'm trying to keep it organic with no real pesticides, just wondering if anybody has any real solutions to discouraging these bugs because the marigolds I planted to combat them is not working. just came back from pt burwell ppk, sites were great, beach was a little ???, no perch on the pier but along the beach on the park side there is a rock pier and people were catching jumbos right off the end of it.any info on the rabbits or cukes would appreciated.

only berkley xt for me,used that spider wire but snaps it so easy, at the same I have never tried all the lines out there so I cannot give you my best advice. but line isn't very expensive so I would try every line out there till you find the one you like best, its like finding the perfect pizza joint you have to try them, here in the hammer I would only recommend dine in pizza at Buddys Roadhouse, all the food is good there

faulty electrical jobs can kill, ask a firefighter, but ask your insurance agent who pays for the damages if there is a fire and nobody gets hurt, find yourself a legit electrician who will do it for cash, theres lots out there just make sure hes reputable, piece of mind will offset the cost of the job

just wondering what to expect fishing or camping is like at this place, the parks ontario website is a little vague, anyone with experience at this place? thanks in advance
