Actually from London but retired up there about 6 years ago. He was born and raised in Massey. He bought a property up there 20 years ago and rented it out until he retired. He use to have a trailer in Panorama Camp.

My dad just lives right outside of Lavigne so I am up there alot. Shore fishing is limited but as someone posted the bridges on 64 will all produce fish. The River right in Sturgeon is another good bet, down by the new docks. The River in Verner is also another good bet for pike early in the spring.

lets call the London Police to shoot them all and save the rainbows.

No sorry no "problems" with the police,I work in health care and deal with them on a daily basis(er)most are good officers. The problem I have is they are never held responsible for their actions. Case in point firing 19 bullets in a residential area at a suspect running away. Also firing bullets at a animal in an area close to schools that was posing no threats(unless of course you believe the released statement "charged at a officer")again in all my years of encountering bears one has never charged me. Believe what you want ,the world does need lemmings.
-
the biggest problem here is believing any of the garbage that is spewed out of the mouths of the London Police Service. I have been around bears many times over my years and several were with in meters and have never been charged, they run away as fast as they can. Remember this is the same police department than ran through a neighbourhood firing 19 shots never hitting their target. If anything the people were at more of a risk from the cops firing away and then wounding a bear which ran off, from the bear itself.Another fine example of the LPD and their spin job.

I would be checking out the area just east of Peterborough. Burliegh Falls up to Bancroft. Also the Haliburton area.

I picked up a pair of the half price ones at CT. They seemed to be alright for 100 bucks ,the brand name is WOODS.They are boot foot with a felt bottom. This will be my first pair of boot foot waders. My last ones were Fenwick breathable stocking foot which have lasted 10 years and before that I had 5mmm Bare neopreme. I hated those, starting leaking after 2 seasons and pain in the ass to put on/off.Boot foot just seemed to be easier to put on/take off.

I feel for you ,I was there last June with "sam" who was 15 and about 5 years ago with "norton" who was also 15. Now we have "jazz" at 9 months she is a handful.Sorry for your loss.
-
I usually fish Nip in late may/ early june and usually minnows are the ticket.Just alone or on a jig will work.Smaller minnow baits will also work such as rapalas j-5,j-7,in either black/gold or chartuese. When the weather warms up a bit around mid june we start having success with worms.

nice fish, but I say this without of course knowing for sure I hope they released it. It is a male in full spawning colours and is spewing milk so to me it was probably in the act of spawning or about to,which means it was probably pulled off a bed. To me that is a touchy subject. I and many other steelheaders will not fish beds for that reason. Like I said I do not know for sure but with the colour and milk that is what it seems. There is no law saying you can't fish spawning fish but it is just common sense to me. I really don't like to criticize people if they are not breaking any laws but sometimes ethics need to take over. Again nice bow.

I just picked up a pair of them here in St.Thomas made by woods. They also had the xplore ones and after comparing the 2 I felt the woods were a much better product, the also came with a felt bottom boot as the xplore were boot foot only. Good deal for 100 bucks. The last pair of breathables i had (fenwicks) have lasted me nearly 10 years hopefully these will also.

if anyone could suggest a model or even a shop that has a good deal on them that would be greatly appreciated also. thanks

thinking of buying an aquavu or fish tv the cheap version only for entertaining purposes only, they are fairly cheap and i think the kids would really enjoy watching the fish below.Just like some opinions on them from owners or former owners and if anyone has one and no longer wants it i would be interested. thanks

Forest city surplus has a bunch of rapalas for 5.99 each. they include fat raps, original floating(f-5,f-7,f-9,f-11s),husky jerks in different sizes and patterns, jointed original j-5,j-7,j-9,rattle traps, and shad raps. They also have a selection of storm lures including thundersticks and thunderstick jr. for 3.99 each along with a good selection of blue fox lures for 2.99 each. The rapalas at 6 buck is about 4 bucks cheaper than anywhere else. I just picked up about 15 rapalas and the selection was still good but hurry they will go fast.

to think most guys I know would never ask for help in getting rid of some "beaver" they are usually trying to attact them
-
great store packed full of stuff,I was there and spent 150 bucks last wednesday.
-
Anyone tried these? These lures have amazing detail, just wondering if they are worth the money? I would like to pick up a couple of the new perch finsihed musky ones in the glow finish but at 24 bucks each are they worth about 10 bucks more than the rapala similar bait? thanks

Hey Dan what site number? Sites 426,430,432,428(in that order) are the best on water sites in Restoule. I usually book 430 or 426 every year for 2 weeks in July. If you want any fishing tips or general info just ask.
