This is so Toronto. This is why we can never have nice things. AA has worked miracles. Getting Donadlson for nothing, bringing in Martin. That was before the trade deadline. I'll be honest, at the trade deadline I was screaming for AA's head. I liked a lot of our prospects and now they are gone, but he made a believer out of me. He took an opportunity and he ran with it. Looking back now, he made the right move. You need a guy like that who is going to take risks, make moves and put his job on the line. I bet Shipiro won't even consider signing Price because it was one of AA's 'mistakes'. This team will slump back to a .500 club and a golden opportunity will be lost. Being a die hard Toronto fan is hard.

Took the words out of my mouth Ark. Babcock knew it will be 3 years minimum, probably more like 5 and that these first 2 years would be the dark ages. That being said, if you can build a good culture of never giving up now, the young guys will have a standard to live up to when they get to the Pros. THAT is what has been the problem the last 10 years, and why guys like Kadri, Schenn and the like have only been sub-par.

11 and 17 are about the same length. 11 is safer if there is snow and ice. Also used to have the best hamburgers in the planet in Hearst but the family sold the restaurant and kept the recipe.

Well, as much as the call on the home run sucked and would have made a difference, I just don't think this game was meant to be. Runners on first and third with no out and they couldn't cash them in. That seems rare to me. All in all a great season. Some really entertaining baseball.

Hutch has really had a few strange years but he hasn't been so bad that I would remove him from the rotation. At his age I think you have to give him at least 1 more year. He is still a pup (what is he? 25?). I'd rather have price and keep Sanchez in the pen but traditionally better pitchers graduate from the pen to starters. There is talk of Osuna moving from closing to a starter. Not sure I like that. Really, the jays know what they have in these guys. I'd take Price over Hutch and Grenkie over Sanchez anyday but it would be very hard to do. Having Hutch as the #5 guy minimizes the damage.

Wow. I gotta get to Michigan. Agree with Arkansoner. I'd want that fish to spawn as much as possible.

As long as they get one of them. I know it's not ideal next year but I can live with a rotation of Stroman, Estrada, Sanchez, Dickey, Hutcheson.

Well, that was horrible. Price was a monster for 6 innings. Whatever caught up to him got him hard.

We all have it, those lures that were 3 for $5, that fishing gift that was given to us by someone who has never wet a line or that garage sale deal we couldn't pass up. Most of the time, we use them once and they get relegated to the bottom of the tacklebox. But every now and then we get something really really good that is a staple that we never expected. A few stories: 3 or 4 years ago I was at the outdoor fishing show. There was at 'senko' knockoff booth and their show special was 'buy a ziplock bag for $5. Whatever you can fit into it and close the ziplock, you can have'. So I stuffed about 50 of these plastic worms into em. My buddies and co-workers gave me such a hard time about em. The colours ranged from 'blade of grass that hasn't been watered in months' to 'seasick earth worm'. Later that year I was fishing at my parents cottage and needed something to float through a slow moving current so I hooked one up wacky style. The fish absolutely destroyed it. I find when I fish the shallows with them on the warm days I can barely have the cast hit the water before the bass destroy them. So, last month I used my last one. The worst thing is, I can't find them in their ugly disgusting colours anywhere. Go figure. The other big one is, my cousin says the live target lures are a waste of money. He got a crawfish one for Christmas and used it a bit without much success. Same area, same retrieval, if he switches over the 'Bomber' $5 knockoffs he always manages to catch something. Go figure! How about you guys, what chicken salad have you managed to make out of chicken poop?

That was what worried me most about last nights game. KC was dialed in. About the 6th inning I really didn't see the jays coming back. KC was dominating in every aspect of the game. Jays need to be better. Plain and simple.
