I'm sceptical of the whole lead thing to be honest. Really, how much lead can there be in a pan that probably 30yrs old, and been used on an open fire to boil sap all that time? Frig, I handle lead all the time. I melt it and make weights, put sinkers in my mouth etc......a galv pan can't be any worse, no? This is a maple syrup boiling pan. It even has a plate on the side that says maple something....can't read it, its been burnt off. Looks like a great pan for $60......? S.

What's the deal with galvanized pans? I can get a 2ft x 2ft x 11" galvanized pan for a good price, but I'm getting mixed info on boiling in galv pans? Thoughts?? S.

Yep, been there, done that, and got screwed over bigtime when I needed it. I still haven't recovered from the beating those guys gave me, and that was 10 years ago!!!! Lost almost everything I owned! S.

Just collected another 60l and its still running. Its running great here! If it keeps up like this, I will be boiling for days. 3 more days of work, then off for 6......woohoo! S.

Collected 50 litres yesterday, from 20 taps. Not bad. S.

Even with all the garbage cans we still pick it up off the ground. I hate to say it, but slob fisherman are the worste!! I know there are a lot of guys who do care, but the small percentage that don't can sure make a mess!! S.

How many is that tapped now TJ? Your gonna be busy next week! How much storage space you have? I'm worried I won't have enough! I've been grabbing every. Water jug or bucket I can find! I just have the one 55gal barrel! S.

I often wonder why car doors automatically lock? The driver of the car above could have easily gotten out, but in his panic, didn't think to unlock the door!

I've stopped many times. I will always stop if there are no EMS on site. Its just how I roll. I often stop if I see someone with a flat tire, or hazard lights on the side of the road. I witnesses a bad one about 10 years ago. 2 guys in a honda ran thru a stop sign, and got t-boned by a cube van. The car went flying into the ditch, where it rolled and caught FIRE!!. One occupant was unconcious, and the other couldn't get out because the doors were locked. At the time, I had a truck full of tools, so ran for a hammer, smashed out the concious drivers window and got him out. The other guy was still KO'd, but the flames were growing, so we smashed his window and dragged him out as well. By this time lots of people had stopped, but still no EMS. We got the unconcious guy out of harms way, covered him up, and prayed we didn't cause more damage to him, but better that than watch him burn! The whole car burnt to the ground! One of the scariest moments of my life! S.

I can't stand rum, but a buddy of mine is a rum guy, and swears by Old Sam. Hard to find, very dark, and even I can manage to tip back a few of them. Its an east coast thing, but I'm pretty sure it comes from jamaica. Any other rum gives me the heebee jeebies. S.

I just use aunt jemimah, but I'm open to suggestions. I'd like a good crepe recipe if anyone has one they like? S.

I'm thinking its an old floating dock too. I guess getting them is out of the question right now. S.
