  1. Yep, bigger size spinning reel, 50lb braid, with a good fluoro leader. S.
  2. I'd be checking what aplumma said above first, then trouble shoot from there. S.
  3. I know that look! LOL Looks like a great day! S.
  4. Ive seen a lot of stream rehab happen on the east tribs directly from the atlantic program. Fishways are rehab IMO too. S.
  5. They will replace them no questions asked, no reciept, any time. I do an annual fall run and replace 7 pairs, no questions asked. I wear a pair every day, all winter long. Great socks. Warm, and durable. S.
  6. Buffleheads already? Great lookin pup!
  7. Awesome socks!
  8. I just adopted a 2yr old male black lab this week....hes awesome!! Before him, I adopted a chocolate lab from Harrison....he was great too, but had to put him down on canada day. He was 10 or 11....great dog. Everyone should have one. I wasnt planning on getting one right away, but the house is so empty without a pooch running around! S.
  9. I use accu weather for long term weather, or 5 day forcast, but environment canada has the best daily weather forcast, but their wind forcasts arent very detailed. I like intellecast for radar, or EC. Its always a gamble. S.
  10. Same here.....its never let me down! Instructions for Newfie weather rock: Tie rock to a string and put Newfie weather rock outside If the rock is wet, it's raining. If the rock is swinging, the wind is blowing. If the rock casts a shadow, the sun is shining. If the rock does not cast a shadow and is not wet, the sky is cloudy. If the rock is not visible, it is foggy. If the rock is white, it is snowing. If the rock is coated with ice, there is a frost. If the ice is thick, it's a heavy frost. If the rock is bouncing, there is an earthquake. If the rock is under water, there is a flood. If the rock is warm, it is sunny. If the rock is missing, there was a tornado. If the rock is wet and swinging violently, there is a hurricane.
  11. I've seen that a few times too.......right after I bonk them on the head LOL S.
  12. The good thing abouut the atlantic program is the money put into stream rehab. We need as much of that as we can get, I dont care what species they stock. S.
  13. Yep, some good muskie in there! S.
  14. Use seafoam. Cheaper, and way better. S.
  15. Nice fish Mike! Love that musky! S.
  16. Sounds like a hoop net....or trap. Could be MNR, or Fleming college students doing surveys. Was the lone guy in a 20ft flatbottom with a big yammy on the back? S.
  17. Blow up all the dams. They do nothing to help anything. Why did we put them there in the first place? S.
  18. Like I said, I don't use one, so don't have to worry about it. My tiller doesn't lock down anyways. ... S.
  19. If it slides forward, and the transom saver is sinched tight, you can damage the engine/transom. S.
  20. I've never used one and trailer my boat with the engine tilted all the way up for the last 21 years. Transom is as solid now as it ever was. S.
  21. Best way to sharpen a chain is not let it get dull. I file ours every tank of gas, at minimum. Sometimes all it takes is 2 strokes on each tooth to keep the edge. Once you lose it, its much harder to get it back. S.
  22. If your shelling out the cash for a bow-mount, do it right the first time. I wouldn't even consider a 12V system now on my boat. I have a 55lb PD on my 16ft tiller, and it works good, but I wouldn't complain with more power, that's for sure. I run mine off 2 31 series deep cycles and it can run about 6-8 hours non stop trolling 1.5-2mph....depending on wind/waves. With one battery, it wouldn't last half that long though.....I'd be way better off using the same two batts on a bigger 24v system for sure. I run a separate battery for my graph, just a small 12V 18aH gell cell that only runs the graph. S.
  23. Its ends when the engine blows up.....ask me how I know LOL S.
  24. Keep your foot out of a turbo? RIIIIIGHT LOL S.
  25. YUP! I filled up my last tank away from home with ethanol fuel. 479km. Then filled up the other day with NO ethanol fuel close to home, and right now my odometer is at 570km, and I still have a 1/4 tank of gas. The mileage is worth it alone, even it that means filling with V power every tank. My last vehicle was a turbo, and all i used was V power, sure it costs more to fill, but you gain it back in the mileage. S.
