  1. All the best man, I hope everything works out
  2. what is your fascination with Rapala lures!? LOL I believe they use VMC hooks, but I'm not 100% sure, it doesnt really matter what hooks you put on, I change most of my hooks to owners or Triple Grip hooks
  3. I was also contemplating a move to AB, but I decided on BC instead (if indeed I do go). No bass in AB, lots of bass in BC 9-10 pound largies too!
  4. We get em all the time through the ice, but they go right back down the hole. My g/f got a nice largie today

  10. Go with the flow fella. contract work for now, we'll see how she pans out.
  11. Haha, and you wonder why you got bad service. Bud I worked there for two years and just quit because the drive was too much. I was always willing to assist and share knowledge with customers. But let me tell you something, if you talked to me like that, I'd have been an arse right back.
  12. 4 walls buddy, 4 walls
  13. what are you gonna do with a bunch of 7 pounders?? Honestly? Regs are in place for a reason, I wouldnt argue. If no one takes the small ones, then they reproduce so fast that the fish get stunted from over population and competition for food, then you'll have no big ones to catch. Keep some little ones for a while.
  14. Ditto ... but he makes more money than me
  15. Wrong Silva bud

  17. one thing you'll learn over time, which I learned the hard way, is that you dont need every colour out there. I now stick to about 4 colours of each bait, and buy multiples of the same colour.
  18. My g/f picked me up that same journal a couple years ago, I always enjoy reading over it when I cant hit the water
  19. I dont get it. I used to feel bad for these people, but I'm growing insensitive I guess. It's all preventable
  20. brookies baby!
  21. IMO 20lbs braid is too light for a baitcaster ... thats only like 6 lbs diameter ... that can cause some serious birdsnests. I use 30 lbs braid on some spinning reels, I use nothing less than 40 lbs braid on baitcasters .... but overall I think a 14lbs fluoro is the best bet. I dont like braid as a "general" line, because some baits like spinnerbaits and crankbaits I believe require some stretch in the line.
  22. Every situation calls for different lines ... My crankbait reel has 14 lbs fluoro My spinnerbait reel has 17 lbs fluoro My frog reel has 65 lbs power pro My flippin and pitchin reels has 50-65lbs power pro My topwater reel has 12 lbs mono
  23. I believe its the riding my own train category
