  1. With our bass season on the horizon, here is another learning opportunity with FLW & Navionics Pro, Mile "Sonar" Burghoff and his webinar on "Summertime Bass Tactics". Hopefully you can make time next Tues. June 16th at 8 PM EDT and take in this webinar with Miles. He is an extremely knowledgeable angler who actually uses all 3 major brands of electronics on his boat, Garmin, Humminbird & Lowrance! Again as with all Navionics webinars, this one is FREE so get registered as soon as you have a chance - https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/8401242311214529551?source=eblast

  2. Can't come soon enough, been looking forward to it for quite a while!
  3. The pelvic fins are the easy way to tell the difference between a Sculpin & a Goby! The Goby's are fused together and a Sculpin's are separate! Look at it's underside and you'll know!
  4. They usually have the webinar up on the Navionics YouTube Channel within a week! It was very good, Josh knows his stuff! Keep checking, should be up soon!
  5. For all of you who wish to improve your fishing tech game, check out my buddy, FLW Pro, Josh Douglas as he presents another Navionics webinar, "Understanding Contour Lines and Mapping Features" Josh is a very knowledgeable and tech savvy angler, should be informative! There is no charge for this webinar, here is the link to register - https://register.gotowebinar.com/register/5885708140932236813?source=eblast
  6. Cool, looks like he's having a blast fishing with you! Great stuff!
  7. A little later season than normal so not really surprising! Rice Lake had a little dry spell but seem to be firing all cylinders right now!
  8. Grenadier Pond in High Park & Catfish Pond located to the west of it were my favourite haunts growing up in the west end of Toronto. Great spots although the so-called "Friends of High Park" have managed to limit the fishing access on Grenadier Pond! In Grenadier Pond there are Sunfish, Yellow Perch, Black Crappies, Common Carp, Brown Bullheads, Northern Pike & Largemouth Bass! In Catfish Pond, there are Sunfish, Brown Bullheads, Largemouth Bass, Common Carp, Mirror Carp & Wild Goldfish. Good luck!
  9. Stringease licensed some of their product to Mustad! Yes, KVD is a big fan of the product!
  10. Brook (Speckled) Trout!
  11. It is a Fastach from Stringease! Twist on, no snap to open!
  12. Some good does come out of these crazy times! I managed to get back to something that I have not done for probably decades and that was to fish out of a canoe! A truly peaceful and serene day on the water, at least it was until the fish started to bite! As much as the roar of Yamaha 250 excite me, there is definitely something to be said about stealthily paddling around in a canoe. It was a memorable day with some beautiful fish and great company with good friend, Wil Wegman. BTW never mind the delicious fish afterwards!
  13. If you missed it "LIVE", the "Hardbody Topwater Bassin'!" webinar that I did, it is up on the Navionics YouTube channel. Check it out if you're a topwater fan and who isn't? https://youtu.be/6shoMzbNi4g #TopwaterMagic #NavionicsPro #FunWow #DaiwaCanada #YoZuri #Sunline #VigorEyewear
  14. They're in Simcoe and they're in Quinte so chances are pretty good they're in the Kawartha's! Surprised that they're as far in as Chemong, sure it wasn't a Sculpin?
  15. In my youth I worked at the Outdoor Stores in the old Birk's store at Yonge & Temperance! Fun times and great stores! Yup as soon as Collegiate bought them it went downhill but I was no longer there after that! LOL
  16. Looks like their restructuring is going to involve the closing of their 4 Sportium stores in Quebec which has always been a burden from the moment they bought them! Also they will be closing the Vaughan and Etobicoke locations in Ontario leaving them with 4 locations in Ontario & 8 in Quebec! Hopefully this will allow them to focus on their profitable locations and continue on!
  17. Sad to see but hopefully whatever their restructuring plans are work! Competition is good for the consumer! Fingers crossed that they make it!
  18. Nice Report! Good stuff!
  19. Don't see why they wouldn't adjust the dates! But it is government so you never know! LOL Good luck!
  20. I've had it on several motors and it does definitely help keep weeds from wrapping around your prop & trolling motor lower unit.
  21. Big news in the boating industry! I do believe that what most people don't understand when it comes to these big block engines how you break it in and maintain them is everything. I was never a believer in not having to break in an engine, I put in the full painful 10 hours of break-in every year with my Yamaha's and my engines ave been super reliable. The thing that I don't understand about this is, "they're going to focus on their boat brands?" which they only got into recently?
  22. For those of you who might be curious about the Navionics SonarChart Shading feature and are looking for ways to be productive with your time in CO-VID 19 hell, check out this webinar by Travis Huckaby! He details about all the different layers & overlays available on your Navionics Boating App & Chips, how to access them and how to use them to help you catch more fish.
