  1. Some pretty interesting research into anglers of the fairer sex! Check out the FREE seminar at the bottom of this page! RBFF Press Room - Press Releases (takemefishing.org)
  2. This event runs for over 5 weeks starting Sat. Jan. 21, 2023 through Sun. Feb. 26, 2023! We will definitely have ice for the event! There has never been a winter where we haven't had safe ice for perch fishing, not since I've been fishing anyway! If anyone knows of a year, please share...
  3. Should be fun! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
  4. I do believe that there is almost $10k available in draw prizes fro which you just have to be registered, you don't even have to submit/enter a fish! There is also the 13Fishing Mystery Length Prize Pack which consist of $1,000 worth of 13Fishing, Rapala, VMC & Sufix products! There will also be some more BIG news coming down the pipe! The earlier that you're registered the more prize draws that you're eligible for!
  5. This is a new on-line live release ice fishing tournament that will take place on Lake Simcoe from Sat. Jan. 21-Feb. 26, 2023! This will be facilitated on the FishDonkey app, the world's premier on-line tournament app! There are 2 prize pools, one for the longest perch and one for the greatest length on your best 5 perch! Paybacks listed on the app are based on 200 anglers/registrants and there will be numerous draw prizes for all registered anglers ranging in value from $200 to $600. If we reach that number there should be over 200% payback in cash & prizes and we are adding new sponsors & prizes every day! Part of the proceeds will also go to Canadian Tire's Jumpstart Program! There is an "Early Bird" draw for anglers registered by 11:59PM Sat. Jan. 14th, 2023 See details attached, please feel free to post any questions! Good luck! 2023 Lake Simcoe JUMBO Throwdown Poster.pdf 2023 Lake Simcoe JUMBO Throwdown Details.pdf
  6. Looking good Paul!
  7. Yep, I use it all year long!
  8. Once you've had a 2 piece suit you'll never go back. Just so much more comfortable and I've never been cool in my Striker suit! I've had a Climate and am now in an Apex! Honestly the #1 feature for me, being vertically challenged LOL are the adjustable inseams in the bibs! So nice not to be dragging your bibs everywhere!
  9. Exactly, I was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong! LOL
  10. Fishing inside a heated hut is ideal! I did find applying some KVD Line & Lure Conditioner to my ice reels when fishing outdoors did reduce that amount of ice buildup and the stiffness!
  11. Yeah, I ran into that as well! Thought that I would get ahead of the game and register in Nov. but found out that I couldn't! LOL
  12. Great reminder! Already renewed mine!
  13. They look sweeeeet!
  14. Welcome!
  15. Don't believe so! Got so much, I'll actually have to check when I unpack everything there!
  16. Sorry to hear that, you were not alone! Too bad we didn't get to see you!
  17. Yeah, I talked to many who waited in line for 1-1 1/2 hours in order to get in! I guess they should look for a larger venue next year! I was insanely busy in there all day long, never had a chance to wander around even which probably was good for my pocket book! LOL The North GTA Tackle Swap on Sat. April 2 in Newmarket will have quality vendors and shouldn't be as crazy busy! Hope to see some members out there! Only a TOONIE or a donation of a non-perishable food item for entrance fee!
  18. Hey OFC members, if you're planning on coming to the 1st Annual Peterborough Tackle Swap & Fishing Show, please drop into the Tackle Swap area and say hi! I think that my tables are #8. 9 & 10! Mention that you're a OFC member and I've got something for you! Looking forward to chatting fishing with people in person!
  19. How crowded was it? Was it not $20 to get in?
  20. Look forward to see you there! I'm have tables 8, 9 & 10 in the Swap Area!
  21. Yes, Connor is great! I ran 100 Ah Lynac’s last year but you will not need any more than the 60 Ah model - https://www.lynaclithium.com/product/12-8v-60ah-true-series/ Two 60 Ah batteries will be more than adequate! You won’t regret switching over to Lithiums!
  22. Beautiful GIANT Ling!
  23. Last summer, I ran Lynac Lithiums for the entire summer and cannot say enough about them! I never came remotely close to running out of juice even though we did run out of gas LOL eh ARKISONER? They charged up real quickly, I don't believe that it ever took more than about 4 hours to fully charge them each evening. If you do the math at $642 a battery and you'll probably get 10 years out of them.(They come with 7 year warranty) it makes sense to spend the extra money now and never have to worry about power. BTW I also noticed more power with my trolling motor. Anyway a great Canadian company out of Thunder Bay with great customer service! If you're looking for new batteries, check them out www.lynaclithium.com
