  1. Don't see why they wouldn't adjust the dates! But it is government so you never know! LOL Good luck!
  2. I've had it on several motors and it does definitely help keep weeds from wrapping around your prop & trolling motor lower unit.
  3. Big news in the boating industry! I do believe that what most people don't understand when it comes to these big block engines how you break it in and maintain them is everything. I was never a believer in not having to break in an engine, I put in the full painful 10 hours of break-in every year with my Yamaha's and my engines ave been super reliable. The thing that I don't understand about this is, "they're going to focus on their boat brands?" which they only got into recently?
  4. For those of you who might be curious about the Navionics SonarChart Shading feature and are looking for ways to be productive with your time in CO-VID 19 hell, check out this webinar by Travis Huckaby! He details about all the different layers & overlays available on your Navionics Boating App & Chips, how to access them and how to use them to help you catch more fish.

  5. Most of the 3DB & 3DS lures now have top quality black nickel hooks on them!
  6. Nice job, although the middle hook is standard! The hooks that come on today's Yo-Zuri lures are top-notch, in fact the rear hook is the one that came with it, I just added some feathers!
  7. Here is my pimped out Yo-Zuri Pencil, this latest member of the Pencil family is 5" in length and weighs in at 1 oz. It is a "BIG FISH" catching machine! There are 4 changes that have been made to it out of the box, what are they? For more cool mods that you can do to your topwaters to make them more effective and learn more about "HardBody Topwater Bassin'" make sure that you register for my FREE Navionics webinar tomorrow evening (Tues. May 26, 2020 at 7 PM EDT) https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/6470295383013328909?source=David+Chong
  8. So in the case of this what was originally a Bulldog Popper (They're no longer around) The 5 mods made to this lure were: 1/ Replaced the original rear trailer with a Short Shank Wide Gap treble with longer feathers and crystal flash in it! 2/ Added Suspend Strips to the rear section so that the bait would sit tail down at rest. 3/ Replaced the front treble with an up-sized wide gap Red treble. 4/ Painted the mouth red for higher visibility. 5/ Added a split ring so the bait would have more action.
  9. In this case it was! Some poppers do come with a split ring!
  10. Bingo! That's another one! LOL Still have ice fishing on my mind!
  11. You got a couple of the mods! Might hold a contest during the webinar!

  13. They'll be available from https://www.canadiantacklestore.com/ shortly! They just getting their shipment in and will get it up on their website soon!
  14. JB’s can definitely order them in! Let me see what I can do!
  15. I do! Where do you usually shop at? They all have access to it!
  16. Vicious strikes! Love how aggressive they can be at times and how timid at others!
  17. Used to go to Elephant, Baptiste & Benoir Lakes back in the day! All three lakes are excellent for fishing with Elephant being the shallowest & weediest of all three. Baptiste is deep in areas and is more of a Shield lake as is Benoir! Great chain of lake to be on, stay in the markers while navigating between Elephant & Baptiste, lots of stumps off the channel!
  18. Yes, you can use the new GPX Import/Export feature on your app! Here is the link to the directions on the Navionics website https://www.navionics.com/usa/blog/post/new-gpx-import-export-and-more-for-sharing-in-the-boating-app
  19. Just posted a pair in the Classifieds if anyone is interested!
  20. A pair of black NAT's EVA boots in a size 11 so it is good for someone who normally takes a 8.5-9 shoe size! Liners included, rated to -70 degrees C, brand NEW in box never worn! Firm asking of $65
  21. Yes, it is easier to look at with the Nautical charts on rather than the SonarCharts!
  22. Not really sure what you are referring to but the numbers on hydro-graphic contour lines are indicators of depth. Not sure what letters you're referring to?
  23. I hope that some members were able to join in on the Facebook "LIVE" "EVERYTHING FISHING" Chat with Bruce Tufts last week and that you found it informative and entertaining! I'm hosting Part III of "The Science Behind Fishing" this Wed. May 6th at 7:30 EDT on the "EVERYTHING You Wanted to Know About FISHING but were afraid 2 ask..." group https://www.facebook.com/groups/1421921441322251/ This week, I'm going to have Dr. Steven Cooke from Carleton University in Ottawa. We'll discuss what his Fish Ecology & Conservation Physiology Lab is up to these days. Dr. Cooke and members of the Cooke Lab are working on some very interesting subjects and theories regarding the science of catching & releasing fish! This stuff always intrigues me as I'm a strong believer in that knowledge is key and the better you understand your prey/quarry the better an angler you're going to be! Hope that you can join us and bring your questions and we'll answer as many as possible!
  24. The SonarChart Shading gives you a is a hi-definition relief shading which gives you a different view of what the bottom might actually look like. For me the greatest use for this is during the planning stage and aids in possibly locating that spot on a spot. Remember when you look at regular hydro-graphic contour lines, a shoal/hump looks exactly the same as hole/ depression until you read the numbers. The Shading same as coloured depth shading makes it easier to determine what it really is at a glance. Of course as with all features, people are going to be more comfortable with one view or another. In most cases, it really is a matter of what they're used to.
