  1. Definitely the place you want to go to hook a muskie, or you need your confidence back from fishing Gbay lol.

  2. A year ago this coming October I made a one of a kind reel seat and butt cap from a Blue Spruce cone. They ended up on a Walleye rod for my SIL. Well I have been tasked with doing it again for Sage Float Rod build. First time...... And round two fresh out of the pressure vessel this morning.....

  3. better idea. Balsam used to be my go to lake until 20 years ago when I started catching just as many pike as muskies. Figured that was the beginning of the end for musky in Balsam

  5. They definitely aren't, which is why I commented what I did. If you want a musky, Balsam isn't the lake to do it on. That's a beauty pike though! I hope you ate it! LOL

  9. My "go to" for off the shelf leaders are the "Huskie Muskie" brand fluorocarbon. However, I usually just make them myself...a spool of 100 or 130lb Seaguar Abrazx FC, double barrel crimps, ball bearing swivels, and coast lock snaps...18" long for casting, 36" for trolling. Very easy to do.
