  1. If there is one thing that the US lakes get right, it’s their access to water. Every lake has multiple public launches. This greed is getting outrageous. It’s not as if the launch/parking lot isn’t paid for by the local ratepayers anyways. At minimum if you pay taxes locally you should be exempt from being charged for accessing your own park.

  2. Greetings all. I am a retired lawyer/Small Claims Court judge, 69, been an avid fisherman since I was a teenager. I have a fishing trip planned on Eagle Lake near Dryden in NW Ontario this coming September. The fellow who has been accompanying me on this trip for the past several years has had to drop out this year so I am seeking a replacement. Here's the lodge: https://www.templebay.com/ Tremendous fishing for walleye, bass, lake trout, jumbo perch, pike and the odd rogue musky and whitefish. Full American Plan, meals provided including shore lunches, fully guided each day, and their guides are extremely knowledgeable and a heck of a lot of fun to fish with.. September fishing is great with the colour in the trees, lots of wildlife like moose, deer, bear, and bald eagles. Super drive up there over several days with overnights in motels. I've done this trip so many times I know all the good motels to stop at (and the bad ones to avoid) and the good restaurants for meals on the way (and the bad ones to avoid); super scenery as we round Lake Superior. I live in Thornhill so if from the GTA we'd leave on Thursday 15 September arrive at the lodge just after lunch on Saturday 17 September. We fish to Thursday 22 September, leave after breakfast on Friday 23 September and make our way back. If you're not in the GTA may have to adjust that timing accordingly. It's not cheap. . . roughly $2800 per person plus tips. . . cost of motels and gas for my vehicle we split at the end. But while not cheap, it's tremendous value for the money, the service we receive from the owner to the manager to the cook, the waitresses, the cleaning staff, and of course the guides is top rate across the board. So if you are interested shoot me a private message and I can provide more details as needed.

  3. When the government download lake access to the municipality everything went to hell in a hand basket They saw profit. they sold some they closed some and they started to charge for parking. Local government listens to locals so they put up no park signs limited access and raised prices to discourage out of towners from using accesses. And they did a study and found that the people who come to use Innisfils boat ramps and beaches buy nothing in town, no gas no food nothing , so that make the local government feel they were doing the right thing if they did not control the access, free easy access would still be available in Ontario

  4. Inspect your engine fuel filter. Hose falling apart will clog it, but I can't see anything getting through it. My Lund/275 Verado/9.9 kicker is 15 years old now and no intention of changing any hoses for the same "No" answers....

  6. Finally found the roll desk that suited me. Open to sit on the left ( so I can see the TV still),width fit in the space I had. My PC screen fit with my double stack pull drawers. Nice upper drawers and a pull out table on the right to leave my UV cure lamp when doing UV. Now I just need to keep it tidy. LOL

  12. Hey Huey, where are you staying? I have been to the lake twice, once in the spring and once in the fall. Great bass fishery for sure, walleyes are hard to come by you really have to work for them. I sent you a PM with maps and spots. Good luck and tight lines!!

  13. So this happened today. The recipe has been in my book marked folder for sometime and I decided to give it a go. It turned out pretty gosh darn good. However next time I would pre toast the flour or perhaps bake the empty potato pastry shell without filling. I also did a small loaf of bread as well since the oven was hot. I served it with a local grocery store rotisserie chicken and steamed Broccoli. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4leNJoIi-Q
