  1. No I didn’t know about that. Thanks. My plan is to weld struts (2x2 square tubing) to the diff’s tubes. With your info I’ll also be re-welding the tubes to the centre section. Thanks again!!! Went down to Simcoe (a town in Norfolk county) to a friends place. He showed me a set of home built tracks, he built for his Argo. (Of corse I for got to take a picture) That l plan on coping with a few alterations. The tracks will consist of two 4 inch strips of heavy duty rubber Conveyor belt. Cut in 4 inch wide strip; two strips per side. Setting the strips parallel to each other. Then join the strips together with 14 “ long 3/4” angle iron. To hard to explain it all but will post pics as I go. thanks in showing an interest in the project. Dan.

  3. 1993 Suzuki Sidekick AKA Sally. I've been spending time on her, getting the basic mechanical and electrical back in shape. Yesterday was slow here in the shop, so I decided to attach the winch mount and get that out of the way. Ho yeah Sally's name sake, comes from my wife's Aunt Sally. An 80+ year old lady, that's rough and tough; but will never let you down. Hopefully the Sidekick lives up to its name sake. LOL The winch mount is actually a class 3 hitch receiver that came off of a Dodge Caravan. Cut off the the brackets that were not needed. Flipped the receiver upside down and welded it to the frame horns and the bumper's re-bar. Dan.

  4. Gets a thumbs up this year. Talk about tackle, huts, augers and suits . That striker is a sweet suit, but it will cost ya about 7 bills for jacket and bib. Everything you need for your ice fishing season is there. And to keep with the spirit, we had ice pellets and snow this morning and still falling. And of course, granddaughter got here pic with David. It was funny. Walked by the HT booth and no David. Oh no. She was looking and looking. We walked around and made our way back to the booth. There he was and she went running. LOL Thanks again David for making her morning . Great seeing a bunch of ice hound fellas again this morning. After the show,it was a quick trip to Cabelas for the Santa visit.

  5. Boy it sure was packed in there today in spite of the weather. I thought it was a pretty good show, saw some new things, won a $10.00 Cabella's gift card and a really nice shirt, got a really good deal on a GPS for my son-in law for Christmas and checked out a couple of outfitters. All in all A nice way to spend a few hours.

  6. Thanks JJ. Your boy’s Ranger will be looked after with the same care as if it were my son’s vehicle. As for Sally; just wait until the track frame goes on. May have to change the name to Sally the Bruiser? LOL

  8. I hardly ever surf through SD channels but came across a great local Ontario channel out of Essex On. All the old shows from the 60's from the Beverly Hillbilly's to The Munsters and Petticoat Junction. Old movies from the 50's and 60's. I watched Jason and the Argonauts last night with zero commercials. 70's era music videos that will make you just howl. Most I have never seen like the 1 hit wonder "Kung Fu Fighting" The guy is on a small platform doing the same karate move for the entire song surrounded by 6 kids that stare at him for the entire song stiff as manikins. Kung Fu and The 6 Million Dollar Man is on regularly. The Andy Griffin Show is on as I type. Occasionally there is the local Town Council's on for the area. CFTV on Channel 586 on The Bell Sat TV. I highly recommend it, especially for us old Boomers.
