muskymax Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 Hello Fishermen and Fisherwomen, I came across this article last night about Leaha Trew from Santa Rosa, California who caught a 22 pound, 8 ounce largemouth bass in Spring Lake on August 24, 2003. However she released the fish and basically through away the chance of winning 8 million dollars. WOW that must hurt big time. Check out the article: http://www.hunting-fishing-gear.com/article-display/587.html

carp-starter Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 The lady may have lost a lot of money by releasing her bass. What would you have done? Or what would you do if you already had your limit and you caught your "world record fish"? Here is a thread about a "what if" situation. What if you caught a world record and you already had 3 keepers http://www.thebassbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=98395 carp-starter
mepps Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 (edited) this one is 25 lbs.. "The bass weighed 25 pounds, 1 ounce on a hand-held scale, which – if approved – would shatter the world record, the 22-pound, 4-ounce bass caught by George W. Perry at Montgomery Lake in Georgia in 1932." Edited June 26, 2007 by mepps
charlied Posted June 26, 2007 Report Posted June 26, 2007 huge...but when a bass is that big why do people still hold it by the mouth.....geez put your hand under the belly for pete's sake, its not that hard to do!
