aplumma Posted June 20, 2017 Report Share Posted June 20, 2017 We use the FG to tie 150lb shock leaders on our surf rods. The shock leader goes from 3 or4 wraps on the reel to double the length of the rod or around 26ft. When you are slinging 2 lbs of weight and bait you need it to be strong and the knot to slip thru the guides smoothly. Art Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
