SylvanOwner Posted January 13, 2017 Report Posted January 13, 2017 (edited) I saw some of the discussion in another thread about Hurricane Hazel and thought I would share some of the work that has been generated by the TRCA. For those with stories I'm sure you'll find this interesting. http://www.hurricanehazel.ca/ssi/about.shtml http://camaps.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapJournal/index.html?appid=348944d100a34124be2a4d126390a121 Edited January 13, 2017 by SylvanOwner
OhioFisherman Posted January 13, 2017 Report Posted January 13, 2017 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Hazel Thanks, I was very young and don't recall hearing about it, Toronto and Ontario in general seem pretty far north and inland to be affected so badly.
Dave Bailey Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 I survived that. Too many did not.
dave524 Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 I was very young but still retain the vision of looking out the east window which sloped to a drainage ditch on the border of a stand of cattails, the cattails were flooded and the small ditch was halfway up the slope to the house, could have canoed on it.
