jjcanoe Posted May 23, 2016 Report Posted May 23, 2016 Took my girl out for a boat ride today out of Port Dalhousie, started out at about 120' where there seemed to be a bunch of boats, nothing for a bit so headed shallower, 0-2 landed in around 85' both off dipseys. The bugs were getting pretty thick out there by then so we took a run the other way. Managed this cute Laker in about 55', 23' down of the rigger, using a Delta Flashline (I love those things!) and a RAC spoon (I helped reel and was the net man) my daughter took the pic, and I got to hold the fish since it was too big for her!
Freshtrax Posted May 23, 2016 Report Posted May 23, 2016 Nice going....,the flies were insane today...at least they don't bite

Carp Posted May 23, 2016 Report Posted May 23, 2016 Good looking laker. Always nice to see the kids taking part.
jjcanoe Posted May 23, 2016 Author Report Posted May 23, 2016 Had her Ipad with us, a few times she said she was bored.... "want to use your Ipad" " no I need to watch the rods, we might miss a fish"
spincast Posted May 24, 2016 Report Posted May 24, 2016 Looks great. Like a seed, the enjoyment from that first outing will continue to grow if nurtured.
Rod Caster Posted May 24, 2016 Report Posted May 24, 2016 ha, you can see the bugs in the background in the one pic. Nice boat.
jjcanoe Posted May 25, 2016 Author Report Posted May 25, 2016 Thanks, they were everywhere, inhaled a few as well *cough cough*
