Southampton

I'm heading to my parent's cottage this weekend which is near Southampton and was wondering if it would be worthwhile to bring my gear or just take the weekend off? Looking for suggestions on locations and what to target. Will be fishing from shore most likely. Is Denny's Dam still an option now? Maybe the pier at the mouth of the Saugeen?

Chucking hardware in the 'Geen below Dennys all the way to the lake is never a bad idea.

Huge smallies can be caught off the pier in Southampton. I've also seen large carp and sheepshead there too. Drive down the road to port Elgin. They've revitalized the harbour and you can get some nice pike and bass cruising there in the morning

All kind of places on the Geen are great for bass.

There is never a time to not be fishing !!! AlwAys have a rod and fish somewhere !!!! Lol ..... Life is too short not too like bill says chuck the river at least you will get some smallies !!!! Cheers

That's what I figured. I just hope my dad doesn't suggest going golfing or something silly like that Sunday morning lol.
