iFish4real Posted May 16, 2015 Report Posted May 16, 2015 I bought a 14' aluminum with a 20hp, last owner said is from the 90s, took it to the water fishing today and the motor is pulling like crazy to the right, it literarily hurts my hand holding it. Anybody had this problem before? I'd appreciate some advice. Thanks!
Roy Posted May 16, 2015 Report Posted May 16, 2015 Turn your trim tab (fin) to the right a little at a time 'til it feels right.

Also there are screws to tighen up the movement of the motor it,s self.(moving it left to right) I found this out the hard way. Taking a motor that was used by a steering wheel, then putting on a boat as a tiller.
DRIFTER_016 Posted May 17, 2015 Report Posted May 17, 2015 Make sure the trim adjustment pin is not missing. Also raise it a hole at a time to get the nose up out of the water.
Garnet Posted May 17, 2015 Report Posted May 17, 2015 Is the motor super easy to turn when not running. Thiers adjuster screw. It's on the shaft that the motor turns on. Get that adjusted then mess with the trim tap.
