akaShag Posted February 4, 2016 Report Posted February 4, 2016 (edited) Darn dood does your wife work with the NSA? Are we cool to take pics when you visit? My wife considers it extremely unusual for me to take pictures of the food I cook, and then put it on the Internet. In fact she considers it downright WEIRD. She already has grounds to get me committed to a rubber room I reckon, so I don't want to give her any more ammo! At YOUR place the veil can be lifted........... Edited February 4, 2016 by akaShag

manitoubass2 Posted February 6, 2016 Author Report Posted February 6, 2016 Your a busy man right now but whenever u have time could u post the recipe thx and congrats again Karsten is napping and most the kiddos are off to a bday party lol. But first night was great! Only up once a 4am! But yeah we are tired lol. I did this recipe on the cheap. Just a tortilla with some black bean spread, cheese, salsa and a lil extra tomatoes. The another layer etc. I did face layers. Then baked it on 375 till the tortillas started to crisp up. Added some sour cream and lettuce afterwards and some franks red hot and my spicy olives. Obviously how you top it is up to you, many other things would be just as good if not better. But its super easy, quick, filling, tasty and CHEAP!!! Maybe cost about $20 to make 3 of these
Spiel Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Last night my daughter and I had an over sized cottage roll boiled up with taters, cabbage and carrots. It was delish with lots leftover (sorry no pictures). But I'm changing it up tonight, my first stab at home made baked beans (crock pot style), they sure are smelling good.

Big Cliff Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 I just did one last night that I got from face book and it turned out fantastic. Skinless boneless chicken breasts Season with salt and pepper about 3 to 4 Tbsp of ranch dressing on each wrap with bacon sprinkle with shredded cheese (they used chedar but I used Swiss) Bake in the oven at 400°F for 40 minutes (this part I didn't get from face book) I served it with twice baked stuffed potatoes (added bacon bits, chives, shredded chedar cheese and some ranch dressing to the potatoe before baking the second time @ 400°F for 30 minutes) (just happened to be the right temp. for the chicken) Threw some carrots and mandarin orange pieces into a skillet and made a glaze with the juices and a table spoon of sugar, simmered just until tender (about 5 minutes). We had company over for dinner and it was a big hit!

We had company over for dinner and it was a big hit! Sounds awesome Cliff!!! A simple thing to try for those that enjoy chicken breast. First, get the good stuff, no frozen walmart crap. Season with salt and pepper. Add two innus and gunn beers(i prefer the bourbon) to a skillet, heat on about 4 or 5 till a light boil. Add chicken breasts and about 1/2 cup of brown sugar. Turn down the heat to about 2 and cover with lid or tinfoil until cooked through. Super simple, lotsa flavour and just a nice, moist breast Of course you can alter this many ways too. But that beer sure keeps the chicken moist and adds just the right amount of flavour that you dont need a ton of seasoning
mr blizzard Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Spiel looks great I am sure dinner will be a gas?
Spiel Posted February 6, 2016 Report Posted February 6, 2016 Now I can smell it! Spiel looks great I am sure dinner will be a gas Eventually and for the better part of the next week given the amount I made.
