BillM Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Can someone clarify if this applies to angling through the ice? It applies to everything unless there's an exception in the regulations.
AKRISONER Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 It applies to everything unless there's an exception in the regulations. False, "Two lines may be used for ice fishing except in a limited number of waters (see the exceptions for the Zone in which you are fishing). You must be within 60 m (197 ft.) at all times of any line or tip-up you are using when ice fishing and you must have a clear and unobstructed view of the lines being used at all times. Any spring-loaded device which sets the hook for an angler may not be possessed within 30 m (98 ft.) of any waters. " you scared me big time
Sinker Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 Did you check thhe exceptions for icefishing though? S.
AKRISONER Posted August 12, 2014 Report Posted August 12, 2014 yes, only in parry sound harbour is 1 line allowed. This is once again to protect the laketrout population. I typically ice fish for pike and pickerel in the pointe au baril area. All good!

Is there an exception that states you are not allowed to use 2 lines through the ice in Gbay? No. Only in Parry Sound like you mentioned. Edited August 12, 2014 by BillM
