Old Ironmaker Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 How'd he carry the canoe on the bike? Just curious. So I'm not the only one trying to picture this. Once he gets the canoe in the water where does the bike go? In the canoe? How else is he going to pedal not paddle back? I don't picture carrying the canoe back to the bike. I guess a light bike would go on the canoe with no problem. Probably lighter than my fishing partner who pretended to paddle. When I would turn around and look he'd say "what"? Your paddle isn't wet that's what.
SirCranksalot Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 OK Drop bike off at takeout--lock to tree Paddle downstream Unlock bike, lock canoe to tree Bike to vehicle Drive to take-out to get bike.
Rich Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 The Nith has some great stretches too. More likely to hook into bigger smallies or a pike on the Nith than the Speed in my opinion. But it's all great water.
PikeyArea Posted February 25, 2014 Author Report Posted February 25, 2014 It's a long river. Do you fish it down near Paris? Or further north?
sofabed Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 The Nith around the 401 and Trussler road is known for good pike and bass fishing. Fish around the bridges.
