Heading to Cuba, looking for info on tackle for barracuda and other fish from shore thanks

Jerkbaits hard and soft will catch you lots of cuda. I have had good luck with xraps and zoom flukes. Cheers jeff

Casting spoons. rattle traps and 40 lb braid if you are surfcasting for other than reef fish. I learned this from fishing other areas than Cuba it seems My government does not play well with Cuba a long time ago....sigh.

My particular favourite for them were topwater lures, poppers in particular. Just make sure you have a wire trace on…their teeth are sharper than razors.

what i use are big, plugs or cranks on my mh bait caster with a large bass reel with 80lb braid, never lost a cuds and also managed quite a few other interesting saltwater fish
