Thanks for the replies I have tied some stone fly patterns and tried the lindy watwits but for whatever reason the specks, bows and perch annihilate the northland stoneflies. I will have to try the Redwing nymphs
I'm getting low on my supply of the stone flies and was wondering if anyone has seen them in the gta. I've checked cabelas, sail vaughan and basspro with no luck. Cheers jeff
I've always wondered why they don't focus more on stocking specks they are also native fish but don't seem to get much attention. Everyone seems to forget that browns and bows are not native. Cheers jeff
I would try weedlines but the base of drops especially if they go from rock to sand are golden. I vertically jig small jigging raps and tungsten jigs with northland stoneflies on sturgeon lake for jumbos that way. Cheers jeff
I have a 36" med hvy jason mitchell makinaw rod. Its a baitcaster withe the spiral guides and its hands down the best big laker and whitefish rod i have ever used. Everyone of my friends that have tried it have gone out and bought one. Cheers jeff
Hard and soft jerkbaits have caught me the majority of my saltwater fish. If you can get some uncooked shrimp then you will have a blast with jacks and other small reef fish. Don't forget clean your reels after each use. Cheers Jeff
I would call greg klatt at ProFISH'nt Angling Services. I've talked to him afew times and he has given me some really good advice. I also believe he lives on the lake. Cheers jeff
Just got an email from bowtech stating that they have bought excalibur crossbows. Good luck getting your limbs replaced now. Bowtech is known for there horrible customer service Cheers jeff
