notvincent Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 One of my friends suggested we go on a fishing trip as soon as the ice melts. He had suggested Cedar lake in Algonquin and said he had been there at that time and the fishing was great. However the trip would take 4-5 and my dad doesn't wan't me missing more than one day of school. So now I have to find a lake or river that is closer (I live in Mississauga). Does anyone know of any great fishing places that we could go to and catch walley.
BillM Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) It's going to be tough for people to give up their spots that are so close to Toronto.. I'd search the board and see what you can come up with. Edited January 2, 2012 by BillM

mistaredone Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 If you have an iPhone, get the ifish Ontario app and you can do a proximity search for different spieces.
northernpike56 Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 walleye... I've had good luck up at belwood lake near fergus. there are lots of pike and bass in that lake with a few decent szed walleye mixed in. I usaully use jigs and stuff there all year around basically and sometimes troll in the summer.
