Hey Guys,

I was just wodering if you could give me some insight on what i'm doing wrong. My friend brought me his HDS-5 to install and the transducer plug won't fit in the sonar plug-in. The tag on the transducer cable is HST-WSBL. Do I have the correct plug?

Henry those pins are spaced way bigger then the female side of the plug. No way that's going to fit (Unless it's going to be a really snug fit) Did they give you the wrong transducer?

Just checked out my bullet transducer from my PPP-1 (portable unit for HDS) and it only has 3 pins in a semi-circle. Can't see the one on my boat now but gonna guess it is the same.

To me, it looks like you are trying to put the power up wire into your transducer plug in. Last I recall, there is not 3 wires coming from the transducer. However, there is 3 wires coming from the power cord and the power cord hooks up on the opposite side of the HDS 5

Well the owner failed to tell me that the plastic insert came off the transducer side. He put it back together in the WRONG ORDER :wallbash: This is the first time i've seen this happen. So i took the insert out and flipped it around. WOW it fits now LOL. Thanks for all your help
