singingdog Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Wind and rain have really done a number on the ice the last couple of days. Most lakes right in the Haliburton area are open now, or should be open by tomorrow. Just north of here it's going fast.

Sinker Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 thanks for the report! I'd like to get up there next week! S.
turtle Posted April 18, 2011 Report Posted April 18, 2011 North east part of Haliburton my cottage lake is still 80-90% iced over. Smaller lakes and to the south are more open. Still 3 feet of snow in the bush where the sun cant get it.

Jigger Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 I´d be really surprised if the ice here on 12mile lasts another 24hrs.
