They met at Simon Fraser University out West and became great friends. Terry had just recently lost his leg and was starting to talk about running across Canada. On his journey, many years later, Terry Fox went off the straightest route to vist Jay Triano in Niagra Falls. Terry Fox asked Jay for his autograph and even listed Jay as one of his heros.
