Twocoda Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your pin number in reverse For example if your PIN is 1234 then you would enter 4321 The ATM recognizes that your PIN is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine The machine will still give you the money you requested but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you. This information was recently broadcast on CTV and it states that it isw seldom used because people dont know it exists. Check with your bank and i hope no one has to ever use it Have a safe Holidays Everyone!

cranks bait Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 Plus they would have to incorporate some sort of phone line that goes dirrectly to the police. A panic button would work better in my opinion, but still not help much?
skeeter Posted December 17, 2010 Report Posted December 17, 2010 i just got off the phone with Canada Trust. NO it is NOT true.
