Port Credit August 21st

Hi, once again I hit port credit at around 12 o-clock and the lake was looking really bad for small boats so I had to ditch my plan of going to 70 feet (couldn't go further than 20something) without feeling like i'm gonna flip over so I decided to go with plan B which I was saving for when the salmon start running, but I didn't have a choice so I went up the river, up, up, till I got to an nice pool which will definitely hold some salmon in a few weeks hopefully, but I worked the pool anyway and got this dude:

 

Won't be long now, I will still try trolling the lake if the conditions allow lol. But for now, any explanation for why the eastern tribs get the early runs?

Yep.

The fish start out the year in the Western basin of Lake O and through out the year make a counter clockwise migration around the lake. So the fish arrive at the Eastern tribs first. They also start running them earlier as the water temps of those rivers is some what cooler than the tribs closer to TO/Mississauga/Oakville.

The water cools down faster on the eastern tribs, the north eastern end of the lake had surface temps in the 50's low 60's last week hence the earlier runs of fish
