beertech Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 what do you all prefer. One or two blades, How many hooks do you use a treble at the end
canadadude Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 I use 2 blades,if your using colorado style make sure the front blade is a size or 2 smaller then the rear blade. I use 2 hooks with rear hook being a treble. Spin n Glows also work instead of using blades
Woodsman Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 I prefer one blade and two single hooks. Here's a few I just finished tying up which I hope to try out this weekend.
bucktail Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 One blade and 3 single hooks here as well, I go with very large blades since your fishing in an ocean basically and ned to call them in. But I have been skunked the last 2 times so you may not want to listen to what I use!!!!
dave524 Posted July 29, 2010 Report Posted July 29, 2010 When " Erie Dearies " were popular I hated the gold plated Aberdeen hook that came on them, used to set them up with a single and a treble trailer snelled on mono like a worm harness, worked well off riggers or a dipsy for Erie eyes, the weighted head was less prone to line twist than a standard worm harness.
