John Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Anybody try this line? I am looking at respooling my trolling reels. I am looking at it as an alternative to P-Line. This new Copolymer line is made with the Vicious Advanced Copolymer Technology (A.C.T.) and has a blend of characteristics that will make it a sure favorite of all types of anglers. Easy Casting Very Low Stretch Low Memory High Abrasion Resistance Correct diameters Advance Copolymer Technology .018 inch diameter, 20 lb test 600 yards, Lo Vis Clear. New in the factory wrapper. MADE IN THE USA.
johnnyb Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 Never heard of it....good thing they have "correct diameters"...I hate it when they use the wrong ones
cranks bait Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 I had this on one of my reels a couple of years ago. It didn't last long. Felt like I was fishing with a rubber band. I couldn't feel any hits. I tried it for about a month and then cut it off the spool. For me it was not any good at all.
Twocoda Posted October 3, 2009 Report Posted October 3, 2009 (edited) i suggest you get a sample of it and try it in your releases ....when braid first came out ..i spooled two reels with it and the line wouldnt stay in the release very well (it was too thin)...tons of knock offs ....but i did keep one rod set up with it for a dipsy and flat lining If you do try it ...let me know your opinion...thanks... John Posted October 3, 2009 Author Report Posted October 3, 2009 Thanks guys, and you Glen ...I may give it a try one reel next year.
singingdog Posted October 4, 2009 Report Posted October 4, 2009 Good line for me. I have the 4 lb, high vis spooled on my favourite trout fishing combo and like it alot. It seems to have good knot strength, good castability, and good abrasion resistance...what's not to like?
