bigugli Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 Had 2 hours this evening to unwind, so off to another Niagara backwater for smallies. Got bit off twice by something toothy, but still went 5 for 10. I was going to stay later but the skeeters were hungry and the DEET wasn't working any more.
Rizzo Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 5 for 10 in 2 hours sounds good to me! If you discover its a musky biting you off rather than hammerhandle pike I'd be happy to help you with that problem!
MCTFisher9120 Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 Black/Blue tubes? Do they work, I got 2 different b/b variations of tubes...might try them out on my trip. Anyway, nice job with the smallies, tubes rule!

Anyway, nice job with the smallies, tubes rule! It was actually a purple tube and a blood tube that were the working baits. My hooksets were not what they should have been seeing as I was rigging the tubes weedless. My bad
TC1OZ Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 Nice fish! I'm hoping to use your advice to catch some fish on the 3 day weekend coming up! Thanks again!

splashhopper Posted July 28, 2009 Report Posted July 28, 2009 nice smallies.... I might try rigging the tubes I bought Last Year weedless and drag em across some weeds or Pond Scum thanks for the idea
