Kawartha Lake Trip

Hi All,

Headed to canal lake on the trent this weekend...

 

was hoping to try my luck at some walleyes, they can be elusive in there at times. Lots of weeds, shallow lake, would my best bet be to fish a drop shot type rig with maybe gulp leeches on that lakes weedlines etc?

 

any advice/tips appreciated

good luck to you. Can't help you on the tactics, but there's lots of pike in there to keep you busy if the wally's aren't biting.

Give crankbiats and spinner rigs a try.

if there are good weeds fish them

if it's windy, fish the blown side of the lake

they can be shallow, real shallow

'eyes are a tough bite in canal but as stated above, the pike can keep you busy...
