I will be coming the from Barrie this time too the Tyler event. Where between Barrie and the Inisfill can you get minnows

Simcoe Bait and tackle 250 Innisfil st 737-4819 , corner of Tiffen and Innisfil st

From Hwy 400

Essa road east to innisfil street North

On the left just past the rail way tracks

just up from the Tiffen st Boat launch

 

Innsifil bait and tackle ( hwy 11 and Innisfil beach rd) but have never been there

There's also 'Loves to fish Simcoe',between the 4th and the 5th on Ewart rd.(just follow the 4th around the bend),they also donated a few rod and reel combo's for the prize table as well as a nice bag of lures....They are fully stocked with just about everything you 'll need to enjoy your day......TC and see ya there.......Chuck...

Are minnows the only bait one should use? I have never done this before, any advice is welcome. If this is a thread hijack, I apologize.

you planning to fish for perch or whitefish?

Small jigs , drop shots or pickeral rigs ( small hooks) all tipped with small minnows work well for perch.

Fish at or very near bottom and be prepared to move around to find fish.
