qaz Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 (edited) Nothern Pike is in my opinion, the best tasting fish in Ontario, with Walleye being a close second. I'm at a point right now where I release everything I catch except for Pike in the 24" to 28" range. They go straight to the frying pan. I'm with you...I love a good pike over a open fire on a cookie sheet greased with REAL butter and spiced with salt and pepper. Edited December 21, 2008 by vman
Rich Posted December 21, 2008 Report Posted December 21, 2008 Gotta say, I had some German guests down one summer and they cooked me some fresh pike I caught, best fish I ever had. I've never been able to cook it that way for myself since then though. 'Course the guy being a chef over there probably helps his odds, lol
