danc Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Geesh...didn't know it was that expensive...LOL. I was working with a 20' x 10' x 1" sheet of Stainless plate a few weeks ago. $40,000.00 worth. The price of metals is crazy. It's hard to quote a job these days because the cost of materials can sky rocket from the time the bids closed to the time you actually buy your materials.
ccmtcanada Posted June 29, 2008 Author Report Posted June 29, 2008 Thanks again everyone! I cut all the pieces of wood yesterday morning and then sanded and treated it all with Thompson's Water Seal. Went out in the afternoon to get carpeting and finished that part last night. The 2x2's are in place and the piece fits perfectly. I'll snap a few pics once I get the job done later today...it's turning out looking nicer than I thought it would. Hopefully Monday or Tuesday we'll be able to get the boat out on the water to test it all out! Thanks again.
Roy Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 Beauty! Looking forward to the maiden report :-) And pics.
HTHM Posted June 29, 2008 Report Posted June 29, 2008 When you mount the motor try to have it in the direct center of your bow, I did not do that and I regret that now. If you go to brafasco you can buy stainless steel fasteners relativley cheap
fishinggeek Posted June 30, 2008 Report Posted June 30, 2008 Lots of generous offers and help for the ever-so-nice ccmt. Can't wait to see the pics of the job.
