Alumacraft back there boats

Recommended Posts

Two years ago, i started to get what they call spider cracks on my consoles above the glove box and the in front of the steering wheel. and below the windshield. cause by the cold winter weather. the dealer, would not do any thing with it. spoke to the Ontario rep for Alumacraft. at the 2008 boat show. he said in spring, send me some pictures. and i put a claim in. even know the consoles was only cover for three years and the boat is now four years old.. he said he give it a shot. two weeks later i received a call from Alumacraft in Minnesota. and said because you been having trouble with the dealer, who no longer sells Alumacrafts. would replace both consoles free of charge. just have to bring it to Hamilton, bay city Marie, when the parts come in. if i would buy one again, i buy a Alumacraft in a heart beat. they back there products.

good see to something like this turn out to be on the side of the boat owner..really 4 years is not that long of a time for cracks to start to appear on that part of a boat, they should back it up..and it is easy for someone to tell if you take care of a boat or beat on it even if you use it alot, my Legend is almost 5 years old and besides a bit of dock rash and fish slime on the carpet from winter steelie fishin..still looks pretty much new out of the box after a quick wipe down.

I tend to baby my boat every year. wash and waxed with premium marine polish with Teflon. if you seen the boat you think its one or two years old. and why not, you pay big buck for it, why not take care of it. just glad am not doing the work, windshield coming off all the gauges, marine radio i installed. and the bracket for the fish finder.

nice ride :Gonefishing: , I hear ya about taking care of a boat and the price, and average priced decent boat costs at least as much as a car. Hope everything works out good for ya at the dealership, great to see they are backing ya up on this one

<_< Hi guys Glad you are pleased with your boats. I picked up mine on thursday A new 14 foot SSV Lund that was to be a short shaft transom. The bill of sale and the plate on the back was ssv 15 being the depth of the transom . But the boys at lund really messed up and gave me a 20 inch transom. Now my friend Gerrits motor is sitting a little higher than I really would like. The complaint went in and I will see what lund will do for me.I mentioned that the back was not for a short shaft but the guys just chucked the boat on my trailer and then they were gone. <_<

She is a good old motor, and was VERY lightly used, as you can tell!.. glad she pushes your 12'r around... but get on you're dealer to get the right boat to you!

PS.. I expect a full report w/ pictures containing some fish porn! LOL
